Greater than one weekWhen my Mother-in-law asked for DAMP RID, I envisioned the spills, burns, and mess associated with Calcium Chloride. I found this alternative, which weve appreciated. The monitoring method is great -- check the weight to see how much water the silica gel has picked. Previous reviews identified that its easy to melt the covering in the microwave, so I used the oven to recharge -- slow but effective.

Greater than one weekI cannot evaluate this product for its efficiency. It and one other, were placed in an sealed container (tote) and is in storage in a climate controlled facility. The box contained machined engine parts. It will remain in storage for at least 6-9 months, so I hope that the contents will be pristine when I remove them from the totes. 2 bags per tote were used, and the totes were locked by the manufacturers locking devices on each end. I will review better when I have a look at the stored components. However, I must say, that the packets were well packaged by the manufacturer and were easy to use. Thanks.

> 3 dayThis has really helped me avoid fogged up windows in my car. I had one issue with a bag and customer service helped me out and sent a replacement.

> 3 dayI have a car that Ive tried to seal up all the areas where water can come in but unfortunately its not 100%. When I have moisture in the car, the windows fog up and it takes a long time to dehumidify. I added both packages to the car and there are no more fog problems. This was a perfect solution for a cheap car that I didnt really want to put any money into.

> 3 dayI was pretty skeptical that these would do the job. I live in Florida and its humid and rainy all summer. I put one in my trunk and one in my car and have noticed a definite change. My car doesnt feel sticky anymore and my windshield is clearer during our strange weather. I havent yet had to recharge them and Im pretty perplexed at how Im going to figure out when the bag weighs 650 grams instead of 500. So 4 stars until I figure that out, but they definitely reduce the moisture in an outdoor car in Florida during summer.

> 3 dayI bought this to help with a water spill in my car that went sideways. Not only has this helped alleviate the weird musty smell in the car, but it has reduced foggy windows in the morning and helps with the humidity that we get here sometimes. Both I and my hubby have them in our cars and I would buy them again if we need more for other areas! Great value, sturdy design, and works surprising well!

> 3 dayWorks, and recharge / dry process works close to the instructions... But pretty slow to dry the air even when pushed directly into tight space trying to absorb moisture trapped under car carpets.

> 3 dayI weighed each packet upon receiving them and they both were around 500 grams. Today I checked on the one in my gun safe and it weighed 636 grams. I decided to try a recharge in the microwave on medium power but only 2 minutes in and the pack exploded. Very disappointed by this and wish I could get a replacement.

Greater than one weekIn less than a year, both bags melted holes while following instructions to recharge them. Would not recommend or purchase again!

> 3 dayI loaded these packs into my safe a few weeks ago and I check the contents yesterday and everything is dry. Before I bought these I had issues with high humidity levels with the documents being somewhat moist with a musty smell.
