> 3 dayWhen my Mother-in-law asked for DAMP RID, I envisioned the spills, burns, and mess associated with Calcium Chloride. I found this alternative, which weve appreciated. The monitoring method is great -- check the weight to see how much water the silica gel has picked. Previous reviews identified that its easy to melt the covering in the microwave, so I used the oven to recharge -- slow but effective.

Greater than one weekTo early to tell but I’m guessing it’s going to work! Heavy duty moisture absorbing bags reusable is a plus!

Greater than one weekThese are very effective and getting them back down to their dry weight is very simple. I disliked the pouch itself, it gets worn down pretty quickly. It is still in one piece but I’ve only recharged it once and the writing is almost gone and the felt? Is looking pretty ragged.

> 3 dayWe live in the Pacific Northwest and moisture builds up in our vehicles, especially when they arent driven regularly. These desiccants are easy to use--just place them where they arent in the way and check occasionally to see if they weigh 650 grams or more, then dry in the oven. Ive dried several of mine repeatedly and theyre good to go again.

> 3 dayGood for small places and if needed add both the package. It keeps inside of my small car dry while parked in a humid place. I can see difference before and after, we need to know its limitation and as expected.

> 3 dayMy car has bad seals on the windows and due to some heavy rain lately some water/moisture has been getting into my car. This also causes moisture build up on the inside windows every day with the cold nights/morning. I normally order Damp-rid containers which do a great job but thought since these were reusable, I would give them a shot. Tested for two weeks, attempted to heat them up as instructions indicated, but i have yet to see an improvement on my problem. From what i can tell, they dont absorb any moisture at all. Im giving two stars purely because I received the product and they are decent build quality. Other than that, im going back to my damp-rid. Will not buy again, wish i could get my money back.

> 3 dayI threw them in the microwave like it instructed, and all the water evaporated away, partly in the microwave then over the next fifteen minutes outside of the microwave. This is great for my car in the winter to help with internal condensation.

> 3 dayMuch easier to deal with than the usual silica gel beads.

07-06-2025I weighed each packet upon receiving them and they both were around 500 grams. Today I checked on the one in my gun safe and it weighed 636 grams. I decided to try a recharge in the microwave on medium power but only 2 minutes in and the pack exploded. Very disappointed by this and wish I could get a replacement.
