07-06-2025We live in the Pacific Northwest and moisture builds up in our vehicles, especially when they arent driven regularly. These desiccants are easy to use--just place them where they arent in the way and check occasionally to see if they weigh 650 grams or more, then dry in the oven. Ive dried several of mine repeatedly and theyre good to go again.

> 3 dayUsed in a dry box for 3D printer filament. Working well. Havent quite reached saturation point yet so havent had to dry it yet, but that time is coming soon. Hopefully I dont have microwave issues like a few people have had (though may go for the oven method or try putting it in one of my 3D filament dryers. Will report back if any issues. But so far, its working great.

> 3 dayI had one melt a hole In the microwave. So I had figured maybe it was completely dry and I just kept cooking it. No biggie, my mistake. The next packet weighed 700g, so i nuked it 6 minutes, flipped it, and nuked it for another 6 minutes. When I came back, the second one also had a nice hole in it. Theyre definitely not microwavable. I will say this though, they do work, but yeah, dont microwave them. I was sketched out about throwing them in the oven too, since the silica beads started to clump together and get the bags all tarry. I really dont think the bags theyre using are meant to be cooked. So Id go as far to say theyre only reusable if you can get them into a completely dry environment for a few days so they can recharge.

> 3 dayI have a car that Ive tried to seal up all the areas where water can come in but unfortunately its not 100%. When I have moisture in the car, the windows fog up and it takes a long time to dehumidify. I added both packages to the car and there are no more fog problems. This was a perfect solution for a cheap car that I didnt really want to put any money into.

> 3 dayThese are fantastic. Using them in a vehicle that leaks a little. These absorb well and dry out is easy in the microwave. Good stuff.

Greater than one weekI use these for my gym clothes. When Im done working out, I toss them in a big plastic bag with one of these desiccant packs. Helps keep my work backpack from getting smelly. I got two in the pack, one failed after a few days (the seam broke and leaked silica pellets into my bag). The other one seems to be going strong. I have dried it out a few times in the microwave with no drama.
