> 3 dayI was pretty skeptical that these would do the job. I live in Florida and its humid and rainy all summer. I put one in my trunk and one in my car and have noticed a definite change. My car doesnt feel sticky anymore and my windshield is clearer during our strange weather. I havent yet had to recharge them and Im pretty perplexed at how Im going to figure out when the bag weighs 650 grams instead of 500. So 4 stars until I figure that out, but they definitely reduce the moisture in an outdoor car in Florida during summer.

> 3 dayMy truck has had a leak so among other things I got these to help reduce the humidity in the cab. I have both of them in the cab sitting on the seat when Im not in it. It only took a couple of days to go from the ~500g to >650g so Ive recharged them both in the microwave now. There was a lot of moisture in the microwave after, and they were back down to just over 500g. Im not sure how long they are going to last as the bag doesnt seem very robust. I cant say that there was a noticeable difference in the truck, but maybe it will help as I get things dried out. My seat still feels like it has collected moisture from humidity that I am hopeful these will continue to help with.

> 3 dayDefinitely helped with the extra moisture I had in the car during the wet rainy days! One thing to look after is the fine white power/crystals that comes out from the bag.. I dont know from where, but if you just set it on your dark dashboard in your car you will see them, maybe after the silicates absorbs enough moisture it will lump together better.. for the time being I laid my blk bags on a microfiber cloth. The important thing is it really works! * to dry out the absorbed moisture in the bag re-charge, use a kitchen scale, much better than guessing, also, do 2-3 min per side and give the bag a few minutes rest in between after each 5-6min cooking time for the steam to escape... this way the bag wont get burnt and you wont over dry the silicates.

> 3 dayI use these for my gym clothes. When Im done working out, I toss them in a big plastic bag with one of these desiccant packs. Helps keep my work backpack from getting smelly. I got two in the pack, one failed after a few days (the seam broke and leaked silica pellets into my bag). The other one seems to be going strong. I have dried it out a few times in the microwave with no drama.

06-06-2025I had one melt a hole In the microwave. So I had figured maybe it was completely dry and I just kept cooking it. No biggie, my mistake. The next packet weighed 700g, so i nuked it 6 minutes, flipped it, and nuked it for another 6 minutes. When I came back, the second one also had a nice hole in it. Theyre definitely not microwavable. I will say this though, they do work, but yeah, dont microwave them. I was sketched out about throwing them in the oven too, since the silica beads started to clump together and get the bags all tarry. I really dont think the bags theyre using are meant to be cooked. So Id go as far to say theyre only reusable if you can get them into a completely dry environment for a few days so they can recharge.

Greater than one weekWhen my Mother-in-law asked for DAMP RID, I envisioned the spills, burns, and mess associated with Calcium Chloride. I found this alternative, which weve appreciated. The monitoring method is great -- check the weight to see how much water the silica gel has picked. Previous reviews identified that its easy to melt the covering in the microwave, so I used the oven to recharge -- slow but effective.
