I read about foam vs wool mats. Wool mat is best for needle felting.

I love the size. Makes it so much easier to felt.

This is the second Wool Buddies felting surface I have purchased. I wanted one a bit larger for large flat felting. This is the ticket. The order also came quickly! I will purchase from this seller again.

Larger size is much easier to work on.

Prior to getting this, Ive only used foam for doing needle felting. This is such an amazing upgrade, and really took my needle felting to the next level. Excellent product, and I wish I would have upgraded ages ago. Its so much easier to use than plain foam mats, and I was able to work far more easily on a smaller scale) Here is the mat in action, while making a moon and stars.

I am a beginner needle felter, and wanted a larger surface to work on. As a couple other customers noted, this came with a bit of a sunken middle that wasnt smooth, kind of washboardy. A friend has one and hers is nice and smooth. I should have listened to what other reviewers said!

Well-made. I love the size!

My granddaughter didnt like this pad. She used it once and put a hole in the pad while doing needle felting. She changed over to a foam pad and didnt have the same problem. She will hold this one as a back up to the foam pad. She was very disappointed that she put a hole in it while using it the first time.
