I put off buying a wool mat, and regret that I did. This is sturdy, the large mat is perfect for lap or table top (Im a lap felter myself) and already I can tell its not going to pocket and cave like foam. Love it!

The mat is a wonderful texture. There is less resistance than the mat I had been using so I think the needles will last longer. It’s also the best looking mat I’ve ever used. Love it!

Wonderful size for placing on top of a pillow on your lap. Very comfortable pushing needle in and out. I am sold on this product only!

I have ordered 2 woolbuddy felting pads previously (over a 2 year period) which were great for needle felting. The one I just received is of bad quality. It is thinner and not densely felted. As a result my wool and alpaca fiber sticks to it. Quality has gone down over the 2 year period.

This is a really nice wool pad for felting. As other reviews mention, it does sink in a bit over time from poking your project, but that does not diminish the quality or usability. Definitely recommend!
