> 3 dayIm a beginner at Needle Felting and ordered this after reading many reviews and watching several videos with it. I received a foam mat with my starter kit, too. I knew going in that if u poked into the mat, it would stick. The problem I had with this was that it would stick even if I just sit it on the mat, or dont touch the mat with the needle. The foam mat offered two things. First, I could hear when I hit the mat, and second, it helped to round out my creations, rather than sticking and getting fuzzy. This might be good for me down the road, but not right now. Its a beautiful mat, well made, and maybe better for advanced users, but I dont recommend it if youre just starting out.
