I love it, needle felting is so much easier with this mat. I was using a soft foam chunk that I got with a starter kit. It didnt work as well as this does. I love how big it is too. Lets me felt anywhere I want, from desk to couch to even break room at work. :)

The mat is a wonderful texture. There is less resistance than the mat I had been using so I think the needles will last longer. It’s also the best looking mat I’ve ever used. Love it!

I saw some made of burlap or sisal. It had a dark side and a light side. But they were much more expensive. I’ve been enjoying this mat. Which side it’s on doesn’t matter. It’s pretty and a nice size. About the size of an iPad. Mine is a light blue. It’s firm and straight. The other one looked like pillows. This one is strong and flat with a surface just right. There’s no way the other kind is worth the extra money.

Much better than foam!

Woolbuddy is definitely the way to go for needle felting mats. After getting one and using it for a while, I was left wondering why I was using the foam ones for so long. No more annoying little pieces of foam coming off on your work. No more ugly, wool filled, flattened foam that has lost its support. Woolbuddy does what it advertises. It looks great too. Just make sure to brush off any wool that may have got stuck to the mat after each project and you will keep yours looking nice and fresh. I am super happy with my Woolbuddy. I bought the bigger one and I am hoping to get a smaller one soon, for travel and just to have around.

I love this needlefelting pad! It is quiet and the perfect size! A must have for needlefelting!
