I love everything about my Woolbuddy felting pad! It’s comfortable to felt on, there is no problem with my work sticking to the pad and it has just the right thickness. And the Woolbuddy team…wow!…was super helpful and super friendly - the whole deal was nothing but a pleasure and this felting pad is definitely worth the money!!

Wonderful size for placing on top of a pillow on your lap. Very comfortable pushing needle in and out. I am sold on this product only!

I liked the wool buddy initially. I try to be contentious about moving my project frequently so it doesnt felt to the pad, but I feel like even the smallest bit of felting and then moving it leads to pulling on the felt and making the project fuzzy. I also noticed today as I was felting brown wool onto a project that some white remnants were coming up from the pad and sticking in with the brown. But that may be my fault as I havent cleaned it.

I love it!! Makes needle felting so much easier! Recommend it !

Great and easy to use!! Dont have to worry about the felting needle going through and sticking me in the leg. Only issue is the yarn sticking to it.

I am just starting out on my needle felting journey, and I have only used the Wool Buddy a few times so far. I tried a cheap craft store foam and it was very small and fell apart quickly. Not a good first experience! The Wool Buddy is a nice size and quality. I can see it lasting for a long while.

This thick mat has been just what I was looking for, and I am pleased with my purchase. I did a lot of research before buying and it had great reviews and so I decided to splurge a bit and start my wool felting off right, and I am so glad I did. Here’s what I’ve found: -Even though I’m an armature spending a little more helped me relax and enjoy the process of learning. My first few days of felting, I’d used a mattress pad we had in storage and it was uncomfortable and I pricked myself multiple times and couldn’t relax because I was struggling with the mat. After getting the Woolbuddy, I could sit anywhere I wanted and feel comfortable that I wasn’t going to stick myself. -I followed a you tube reviewer’s advice and do light colors on the top side and dark colors in the bottom. Some color will stay in your mat. I made some red mushrooms and it dyed the area I was working red. I don’t think I’ll have any issues if I stick with the plan. -I purchased a lint remover to scrape off excess wool, because some gets left behind. I’m glad I did, it’s come in handy. After working I run it over the surface, picking up the bits left behind. -The quality is great. It’s thick enough, has a great amount of surface area and there are several fun color options. I chose the yellow, because I didn’t want something too light that would get discoloration quickly, and I thought the orange was an inviting enough color. I think I’d probably choose a gray if that had been an option, but I’m very happy with the purchase.

I love this pad. I do need to be careful not to go too deep or my work gets really stuck to the mat. Projects are always removable from pad just a bit harder if I go deep, this leaves my projects nice an fuzzy.
