> 3 dayI bought this for watching 4K movies. For some reason it doesnt detect HDR on my TV. I have an 8 series Samsung SUHD 4K TV with HDR. The HDR works fine if I stream using the Amazon app but tried to watch XMen Apocalypse, which says its in HDR on the cover, the XBOX One S does not playback in HDR. In the setting menu it says my tv doesnt support HDR. Even if I change my picture mode to HDR it doesnt work. After researching the web seems like a common issue with the One S.

> 3 dayI live in a place where internet is scarce and from experience Xbox loses the battle to PlayStation primarily cause they require way for updates for their games in comparison. Not everyone has the data for all that. And with PlayStation you can atleast play the game while its updating. With the Xbox it takes forever to download the updates before i can even play and then a day or 2 later every game has another one. I got tired of it and went to PS4 and havent regretted it at all. Even knowing all the digital content I now cant use, still worth it

> 3 dayBetter graphics and better games, but be prepared to replace the controller every 2 to 3 months. Ive already burned through 3 since January. The first 2 I attributed to heavy gaming, but the last one was only lightly used and the left stick still went bad. Maybe Amazon can add this item to their pantry as they seem to be engineered to fail and go bad like clockwork. Be prepared to blow through your data plan as well. Even if you buy the disc, you will have to download massive updates to even start playing, and then periodic patches anywhere from 2 - 60+ gigs, no joke (BF1 is really bad about this). One of the more recent console updates made it so users no longer have control over these updates/patches; If the game is installed, they now download automatically even if youre not actively playing that game. I use an external hard drive to store my inactive games to get around this inconvenience. FYI, the free games with the gold membership are typically between 40 - 60 gigs. So what earned this console 3 stars? I started gaming in the days of Commodore 64, Atari and DOS (no hard drive) computers. The graphics are simply amazing and the game play is immersive and incredibly addicting. Power consumption was also a huge improvement, down to only 180 watts while gaming online.
