I thought this would be a good bargain being both a game and a 4k bluray player. But sadly it can only do games well. It will not play any recorded bluray disks. Apparently Microsoft has blocked that feature in its bluray app. It will play my original stamped movie disks but not disks Ive created from my movie camera. I know they think theyre missing a buck from unscrupulous persons who bootleg movies but this isnt a proper solution. Im preparing it for return and looking for a good 4k bluray player... and I will probably go PS for a gamebox only because Microsoft is so thoughtless . And theres more. I got a UHD copy of The Revenant to demo my new 65 inch OLED and Denon receiver and discovered that the XBOX One S cannot play high definition audio. The DTS-HD Master audio on the disk is useless. XBOX down converts to DVD quality. I ought to change the title from disappointed to furious. It would have been nice to know this in the advertisement. Revised: I just read an article in High-Def Digest headlined...Bitstreaming and Dolby Atmos Are Coming to the Xbox One & Xbox One S. Unfortunately we have to wait well into next year. This doesnt promise to resolve the issue of blocking the playing of disks I make of my own home productions but its enough to hold out. This means I can stick with it as a gamer and go ahead and get the Battlefield 1. I gave it another star based on a promise... well see if they earn it.

Issues with connecting to our wifi. HAD TO CONNECT to my kids hotspot wifi. Took us 6 hours to get set up and games downloaded.

I got this one on a Black Friday deal in 2016. I don’t regret it, it’s a solid console. I recommend it.

Christmas gift for my son. Brand new in the box with free Battlefield disc as advertised. Set up in minutes and runs flawlessly. At some point, I’ll upgraded to an external hard drive for more memory, but right now my son is running 2 apps and 6 games with no issues!

I have a PS4. Because Sony claimed to enable 4k with the original ps4 with a firmware, I bought the ps4 when it first arrived. However, we all know that Sony lied. Now, they have a ps4 pro product that doesnt have a UHD blueray player. Epic fail and it costs too much and didnt offer an upgrade path. Microsoft was smart to come out with the Xbox S with the UHD blueray player. 4K games are incredible on this product and it is more stable on games than the PS4. Im hoping Microsoft offers an upgrade path for Scorpio as Im pulling away from Sony because of their empty promises and misses on hardware. Also, their servers are incredibly slow compared to Microsoft.

It looks good in the living room as it has a nice sleek design. I bought this xbox for my boyfriend for Christmas and it is AWESOME. He can play it all day and I dont hear a peep from him. It has been almost a year since I bought it and it is still going strong no broken parts or software issues (knock on wood). I did hide the controller it came with and I let him use one that he had from his previous xbox 360, this was in order to have a backup for him (kind of like a pacifier that a baby would) for when he decides to rage out and get mad at the game and end of breaking the controller. When this finally did happen and he tried to start a conversation with me, I was easily able to hand him the controller that it came with and he went right back to not bothering me. 10/10 would buy this product again.
