They advertise a reduction in noise. This is absolutely the truth; and even more so if your existing rollers are worn. Mine were definitely worn out! These worked great to reduce noise. There is also a plastic sleeve available that you can slip over the roller shaft before installing onto the door, which further reduces noise--also worth the money and time spent given how easily they are installed.

I replaced my rollers due to an issue resulting in hard stops of my garage door opener. These rollers appear to be of good quality. Installation is the same as any other roller. They replaced nylon rollers that were at least 20 years old. I noticed a slight subjective decrease in noise.
