I would have given this new screen 5 stars if the fingerprint recognition worked. Arrived on time. Great tool kit with it. Easy to connect. And screen dropped in place and adhered great. Touch screen works. Button press works. But not fingerprint recognition. So frustrating! Now I have to type in passwords for everything! Is it Apple being difficult about “non authorized” parts?

Product works perfectly and was very easy to install, but the adhesion near the connectors does not hold very well. You have to and an additional adhesion strip and apply extra pressure at that spot. Overall the product is a great replacement and the price is reasonable!

Screen is made vero cheap. Any pressure applied at any point and it will shatter.

Update: all was well at first, but after a couple of months I started getting phantom screen presses all the time which drove me crazy. Apps or videos would switch of their own accord. Some edges also came unstuck and the home button came loose. A bit tricky to fit, as they all are, but take your time and it works great. Only downside is the lack of Touch ID, but if you have the original home button, you can replace the one that comes with the kit. No issues so far.

My 4 year old leaned on her iPad with her elbow and it shattered. I did not want to buy another or spend $200 to repair at Apple. Good quality replacement. Touch screen works perfectly. Transferred the old home button to the new without issues. Be careful with fingerprints on the reverse side. In retrospect I would have worn gloves to minimize. For best adhesion scrape all the old glue off and then clean with alcohol or goo gone. With proper tools and a heat gun, took about 40 minutes.

Box was partially open on arrival, but luckily all parts were still contained.

I had to replace after shattering the original. It took a while to get all of the old glass off but that wasn’t the products fault. At times when I press the glass my screen goes black and I have to press the home button and redo my password to get back in. The home button doesn’t read your thumb print. The new digitizer is a little slower for example if I am playing a game it takes a fraction of a second longer for the digitizer to recognize that I’m pressing the “button”. Over all I am satisfied because the price was much cheaper than having someone else fix it.

Worked great fixed 5th gen IPad screen in about 30 mins. Hardest part was cleaning the off old adhesive.

Not easy to install.
