It really expands and makes a lot. I think it is a good product to add to my Hermit Crab habitat. Kind of messy but I would buy it again.

I have a 10 gallon tank for 4 hermits. Thinking 2 blocks of this stuff should be enough to do a time or two of cleaning, thats what I order. Wrong! 2 blocks will last me 2 years at this rate! It just keeps going and going! Great value for your buck!

The crabs love it. We have 5 and the all buried themselves and molted for a month as soon as I put it in. The love to dig. Have a big bucket to mix. It grows 5 times its size.

I use this product for my hermit crab tanks! Definitely worth the money! Cleans up like potting soil, very easy!

Its cheap and easy to use. I actually store the excess in a cleaned out, sealed cat litter tub. You just add water and let it expand. The hermit crabs like it better than the sand for digging and molting. I only have to change it every 4-6 months. Its good for retaining moisture, sometimes too good. Had my hermit crabs for 6 years now and they seem to like it.

Works well but messy

My hermit crabs seem to love this stuff. Keeps my crab it at at optimal humidity levels. No weird smells when used.
