It works, theres just visible oxidation of the copper (from brown to green) connecting the bulb and the golden colored socket, I connected it and it turns on to a light yellow, pretty good brightness. Shipping was bad, it was stuffed in the mailbox, USPS shipped. Didnt leave it at front porch, and the box was a bit crushed, I was worried that the bulb was going to be broken but it was safe inside, as the bulb is small. EDIT: broke after 2 months :/, thats just it, stopped working after

Turtle loves it

This product worker for around 2 months. It did fall off the rim of my YBSs tank is not the water but only for a few seconds after that it worked for about 2 days. Then it stopped working completely. I have two heat lamps and used the other light fixture I had and it still did not work. At least it worked well in the time it would still turn on.

Ive gone through about 4 of these now. The first one lasted almost a year but every one Ive bought since had lasted at the most 4 months. The latest only 2. When its working its great.

The cover melted off, its no longer splashproof
