Greater than one weekI have an inexpensive (Harbor Freight) 1”x30” belt sander. To sharpen a knife razor sharp, I quickly use the 1000grit belt followed by the 2000grit belt and finish the process with the leather Super Stroup. If the knife just needs a touch up then I just use the Super Stroup. I have used it a LOT and it will naturally stretch a bit over time but it’s the quickest and fastest and easiest way I’ve found to put a very sharp edge on a knife.

Greater than one weekthese are junk do not buy, i sent a message to this co. and they blamed harbor freight sander, i told him that i don’t use harbor freight tolls and sent a pic of the sander with the stretched belt that causes the sander to stop as the tensioner gets bottomed out he said he sorry and will send two more out the same thing happened even with putting one on the sander and just turning it on and it jammed amazon has helped me with a full refund, and i need to say thank you for protecting me from getting junk as amazon has always helped me.

> 3 dayBelt stretched on second use. Now rubs the housing of the sander then flies off because it’s too loose. Got the belt wet to shrink it. Stretched out on next try. Can’t use it at all.

> 3 dayI strop my knives. This makes it super fast and easy. Didnt like the compound for the belt that came with it. I use my own green compound.

> 3 dayI use this to remove the burr from, and polish the knives that I sharpen. It does both tasks very well.
