> 3 dayUsing this for a portable air conditioner and an outward opening casement window. I was worried about installation since the window is a bit old and oddly shaped but it worked out. I couldnt lay the adhesive strips where the guide specifies they should go, instead opting for the inner most track of the open window and outer most track of the window frame so that the strips are right next to each other when the window is closed. This created a very nice seal all around except for 3 on the hinge side. I measured correctly but for some reason the 300 cm version was still a bit too short. Luckily, it doesnt really matter as there is only a slight gap when the window is open the small amount it needs to be for the exhaust hose. The adhesive strips seem like they are holding well and the material held up in a windy rainstorm. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

> 3 dayI tried to use this for my window. It didnt work well, but thats not because the product is faulty. Since I live in an apartment, I couldnt use the Velcro that came with this. I think the wall/window in my apartment is slippery. I tried using duct tape and the duct tape kept coming off. Ended up having to throw this away since the duct tape made a lot of damage.

> 3 dayI have an outward opening window. It is old and was not properly painted when it was installed. I had to adjust how I attached the Velcro to the frame due to the paint issues and all the crazy little trim accents that arent wide enough for the Velcro. But, it has worked great. There have been several bad rainstorms and only a tiny little bit of water has made it in. And that water stayed in the window opening. I did not close the window for any of the storms. Im impressed with the ease of installation and quality so far. Ive had it installed for 3 weeks now.

> 3 dayWhat can I say? It works! The installation went exactly like the video for me. Just attach the Velcro to your window and then stick on the HooMee. You need to read the instructions a little carefully when laying out the fabric to make sure youre attaching the right side to the right part of your window, but its fine. I cant speak really to how efficiently it insulates from the outside hot air, but it definitely keeps the exhaust outside so that my apartment doesnt heat up from AC exhaust while the AC is running. Its relatively easy to unstick from the Velcro when I just want to open my window. Or I can unzip it and open my window with it hanging off the window.

> 3 dayI was pleased to find this easy solution when I was gifted a used portable A/C unit without any sort of window fit kit, especially for my outward opening windows. Although the directions were not quite as clear for outward opening windows, they did describe the adjustments that would need to be made. After watching the instructional video for inward opening windows, it was not difficult to understand the adjustments for outward. I also agree with others that the white plastic is still more pleasing to the eye than a big piece of wood or cardboard stuck in the window. It seals up nicely so no trouble with letting in bugs, rain or debris. Ive had it installed for about 3 weeks and it has worked very well.

> 3 dayEdit 7/9/2018: We have been having a crazy heat wave in L.A. and I have to say this has worked fine! I keep checking and the fabric is not leaking hot air into my apartment and so far so good! I just installed this in my Living room. I have large 5 tall windows that slide open. The plastic window mount that comes with the AC isnt tall enough, but Ive managed to rig it until the L.A. summer sun deteriorated the plastic. This installed fairly easy, but I wasnt sure how well it would work since it just fabric. It seemed like the hot air will just blow threw it, but it did not. I am actually going to buy another for my bedroom portable unit.
