Greater than one weekI bought this as a way to vent a laser cutter exhaust outside. My casement windows open outward, so had to think a bit when installing. Initially I had the 3 vent a few inches from the bottom of the window with the zippers holding it up. It was below freezing outside. This caused the double sided tape to pull off the frame. I added more tape and moved the vent pipe lower so less pull. Works great now. I was able to install in such a manner that I can even put the screen back in the window and use if I unzip the seal.

> 3 dayOk, yes it took me over an hour to install and I’m glad I didn’t rush it, turned out perfect. I have a portable a/c in the living room of our condo but was never able to use it in the bedroom do to the window being outward facing, no way to vent the hot air out and close off the rest of the window. Just bought a dual hose a/c from the neighbor who is moving (75 bucks, nice!) and found this kit on amazon. It actually installs, functions and finishes better than the description and pictures. Cold enough to need an extra blanket in July, love it. Now I’m on a hunt to find another deal on a dual hose a/c to replace our single hose a/c in the living room. Absolutely no comparison no matter what btu rating the single hose unit is, mine is 14000. Never buy a single hose a/c!

> 3 dayI purchased this product with my fingers crossed it would work in a portable AC exhaust hose application in my travel trailer/toy hauler. As with most toy haulers there is a horizontal type casement window in garage area that opens from the bottom. This product was very easy to install with very simple slight modifications made in the latching area. It performs perfectly!! I’m even able to close the window when not in use without having to remove the product. For the price I am completely blown away how effective it is. I would highly recommend to anyone!!!

> 3 dayI was worried that the seal wouldnt fit my window for some reason and that I would run into some kind of problem with the install, but everything went smoothly and the product works as described.

Greater than one weekLooks great and is really well made. It took us a minute to figure out how to tuck the end in to make it look nice but we got it. No (mosquitoes) got in so Im very very happy with that. Also received the it right on time.

> 3 dayThis was relatively easy to install. I have an old crank/casement window that opens out. It also has slight dome shape to it that I was worried might cause some issues, and it’s pretty small so I wasn’t sure it would work at all. I put the Velcro on all four sides of the frame and window, and discovered that the fabric would go all the way around the four sides of my window, with the narrow ends overlapping (I sort of tucked one behind the other and used leftover Velcro to prevent any leaks). I also had to make a few ticks of the Velcro on the frame side as it had extra length. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and the upper floor (where my bedroom is) has no insulation so it gets about ten to twenty degrees hotter than the outside temperature on warm days. I’ve had the new portable AC going for a couple hours and it’s actually tolerable to be in. Hoping that starting the AC earlier in the day will help keep it nice on our hot days. So far, this adapter works great.

> 3 dayOur central air went out in our apartment in Nevada in July. We have to wait two weeks for the replacement part so the repair person brought up a portable unit and used duct tape and a trash bag (I’m not kidding - see the picture) to affix the hose to the window. It lasted approximately 12 minutes before the heat of the unit got so hot that the adhesive on the tape melted, causing extremely hot air to then blow BACK into our apartment. At 3am, it was 90°. In a late night internet search, while sweating and crying, I stumbled across this GEM on amazon. It was delivered in less than two days and installed within minutes. You can see that the windows we have are weird - almost like a reverse awning. So I wasn’t sure if it would work. But the 300CM was PERFECT on the larger window. This has saved me (and my marriage) - can’t recommend enough.

> 3 dayI like that it actually works! Once I figured out how to install it properly...it took a couple tries but managed in a about an hour to finally do it right. Watch the video a couple time helped!

> 3 dayIll be upfront, I have a sliding window and not the required window this product is for. With that said, the short of this review is that it is totally worth it. This company has a version of this for sliding windows on their website, however, when I tried to order it, it just kept saying my card(s) were not accepted. I said I am going to try it regardless. It arrived today and was pretty easy to figure out where exactly I need the velcro adhesive to make it work and it works perfectly. No leaks, fit great, room is much cooler now. If youre like me and you struggle to get a kit to work for your window due to how un-even it is aligned, this is your best bet. Took me no more than ten minutes to get it installed and not remotely a problem. Just measure the length and width, add up both totals in CM, then buy the appropriate sizing. Its that simple!

> 3 dayWorks well for using with condo windows and portable air conditioner. Mine is a single hose design but the second opening is useful to work around the window handle which would create an issue. With the constant opening and closing my lasted three seasons before I pinched the plastic when closing the window, causing small holes to appear. Also eventually the seal does get dirty from outside pollution so it is a good idea to replace it. The price is reasonable so replacing it every three years of constant opening and closing is a good value. I remove it during the winter so it stays on roughly 7 months out of the year.
