I bought this to replace a Frigidaire unit that did not last at all. The Frigidaire unit had a one year warranty. Used it for 3 months the first year and 3 months the second year and it died. I replaced it with this unit and it has a 5 year warranty on the condenser and if you apply for the warranty online you can get an additional year on parts and labor. I also applied for a $30 rebate from MassSave. Its a win-win all the way around. And it is very quiet! Customer support is also FANTASTIC! That is VERY important to me. This dehumidifier is very productive. I got the DryTank 3000 model. In just a few days it has transformed my 750 SQFT apartment into a comfortable oasis in the midst of the onslaught of Florida summer. I’ve actually been able to turn my thermostat up a couple degrees and maintain better comfort. Anyone who lives in a climate where their AC struggles to keep the relative humidity at a comfortable level surely needs one of these. This is a real compressor and refrigerant loop powered dehumidifier capable of dehumidifying an entire large apartment, not one of the tiny underpowered semiconductor ones that can barely dehumidify a small closet. (Paper towel roll included in photos for scale) Pros: Light weight, works quickly, quiet, compact design, auto shutoff when bucket fills, built in hygrometer allows you to set desired humidity (but it can also run in continuous mode), optional drain hose and garden hose adapter allows for continuous operation if you have a floor drain Cons: Does not have a pump (so it can not be used with a hose unless you have a floor drain) bucket is kind of small (but making it bigger would make the unit less compact)

I got the 4,500 sf model. I was *very* impressed with how well the unit was packed, the thoughtful thank you from Vellgoo, the ability to extend the warranty an additional year with on-line registration, and the easy-to-understand user manual. I have it in my finished basement where the humidity isnt sky-high, but high enough to sometimes give it that dank smell, especially with the cats litter box down there. The unit looks well made. Easy set-up. Collection bucket slides out easily. I fired it up after letting it sit for 24 hrs as instructed; its very quiet compared to other more expensive brands Ive had, and it lowered the humidity by over 10% within just over an hour. Longevity has been an issue with the other brands Ive had (Frigidaire, GE) - time will tell if this one goes the distance. Having the two-year warranty at no additional cost gives me peace of mind in that respect.

Bought for our basement. Solid appliance. Package looks like it took a slight beating but everything looks good so far. Packing by the manufacturer excellent. Looking forward to using it.

Especially like the fact that you could hook it directly to a drain. Also, if you chose to use the bucket, it shuts off automatically when full.

Our lower level is a fairly humid basement. This unit was well priced and had good reviews. So far it has lived up to expectations. We empty the tank about every 12 hours and not only do I know the humidity is much better from out gauges but it feels waaaay more comfortable. It’s pretty quiet and a nice looking design. Very easy to use and so happy with the child lock feature!

quiet and love the smaller size with humidity control features

It has lowered humidity in my home by 15 percent in 24 hours. It is quiet and is aesthetically pleasing. My only complaint is that I have to regularly empty the collection container because it is only 1.4 Gal. Overall a solid purchase
