Received our dehumidifier, even came with a Thank You! It appears to be constructed well too. We are hoping for a long lasting unit.

I got the 4,500 sf model. I was *very* impressed with how well the unit was packed, the thoughtful thank you from Vellgoo, the ability to extend the warranty an additional year with on-line registration, and the easy-to-understand user manual. I have it in my finished basement where the humidity isnt sky-high, but high enough to sometimes give it that dank smell, especially with the cats litter box down there. The unit looks well made. Easy set-up. Collection bucket slides out easily. I fired it up after letting it sit for 24 hrs as instructed; its very quiet compared to other more expensive brands Ive had, and it lowered the humidity by over 10% within just over an hour. Longevity has been an issue with the other brands Ive had (Frigidaire, GE) - time will tell if this one goes the distance. Having the two-year warranty at no additional cost gives me peace of mind in that respect.

Product arrived on time and intact. Been running for a few days. So far working well to pull moisture out of air. Fairly quiet but can still hear it down the hall. It’s quieter than other units I’ve owned. Only negative so far is I can’t seem to figure out how to get it to stop running continuously

Many of you know that the general build quality and value for your dollar of Chinese products has vastly improved in the last five years. This 4500 sq ft dehumidifier by Vellgoo is no exception. The manufacturer takes their products very seriously. These units defy in size, (similar to desktop PC computers in appearance) delivering efficient performance. They are very quiet, programmable, and get the job done! I prefer my household air dry, have owned a dozen different brands over the years. Vellgoo Drytank ranks among the very best in my experience. Amazingly cost effective, Energy Star rated, with superb, prompt customer support assistance. Two thumbs up!

Seems to work as expected. The tank is on the small side, but we are using the hose attachment into a bucket with a sump pump. Water discharged out a window. Overall I’m happy with the unit. Dry Tank 3000.

They do a good job on the packaging the dehumidifier was safe from the shipping and handling. On the first day I let it run for 4 hours it picked up all the humidity around my apartment. That it reached to full and I had to empty it out. What I like about too is that it’s rated as efficient dehumidifier on energy star.

I used this dehumidifier in my basement to prevent mildew and mold growth that I just had to pay thousands of dollars to remove because of my neglect. The Humidity is low right now as basement tempt is 67 so the unit is not pulling out much moisture. I have to wait until it gets warmer to evaluate. Its very quiet with fan set on second setting. I have it hooked up to drain hose. Unit sits on counter 6 ft from sink. I first set the heat to 77 and removed hose to let bucket fill to see if unit was removing water. Yes it was. I purchased this unit based on reviews about great support from mtg if there is a problem. Frm what I read, none of these dehumidifiers last more than a couple of Years. Im 87, so my life expectancy is about the same as the dehumidifier so no need to get extra warranty. You van go blind and nuts from reading all the reviews on the millions of units out there and trying to decide which to buy. I gave some thought to doing nothing and figuring it would take at least 2 yrs to kill me, but then it was too late as I already paid to remove it. Good luck to u all Update. I have had the unit a little over a week and its holding 50% set humidity perfectly as it matches my hydrometer. It cuts off after one cycle for more than 3min as stated in manual. Seems to restart when humidity increases about 5%. If the humidity is low in the room you wont get much water. This works much better with the air conditioner on 78-80. I dont know why people are having so much trouble with the included hose. Pull out the water bin, stick the hose thru and reach up to the top right corner inside the front of unit and you can guide it on the short plastic tube with your hand. You have to push hard until it stops. it does not leak. There should not be any bends in tubing. You can straighten the tubing by stretching it out and putting some weights on it over night. It must run down hill. This unit is quiet. I cant hear it running from 15ft. Also, after it runs for 20-30 min, cut it off and pull out water bin and look for leaks. I hope my unit last for 23 months. Up date-May 20,2023. Unit is still running as before under low humidity so I cant evaluate performance yet. I have done a lot of reading of reviews and information from internet that might be of interest to 1st time dehumidifier buyers. Let me state that this is not a bought review and I have no connections to Vellgoo . most of these units will not last 2 yrs as most fail in the 1st year. Therefore you should select a company that has good customer support and honors its warranty or buy an extended warranty. I did not buy one with my Vellgoo as I got a 2yr warranty by registering the unit. The extended warranty on Amazon covers repairs, parts, shipping and may elect to replace, refund or give you an e-card letting you have a credit equal to the original purchase price of the unit. Thats ok with me as I buy a lot from Amazon. We are all captives of this industry unfortunately. ,,New buyers please pay more attention to the 1 star reviews as a lot of 5 stars may be bought. You will notice a company unit having only a few 5 stars and nothing else. These are off shoots from name brands and they look the same and have the same specifications. Beware I would like to mention one last thing. Slot of people are abuse ing their dehumidifiers by running them 247 trying to get them to 30 and 40% rh. You dont need this in my opinion and from what Ive read. 50% th is fine and will give your unit a rest. 12 hrs is long enough time in most cases to run. If you can afford to, run your air comet at 78-80 along with it. It dehumidifier also but adds to expense. Thanks for reading

Ordered this dehumidifier during black friday and it kept stopping. tried everything i could to get it to work but it seemed like the float in the jug part was faulty. messaged customer service and emma did a great job helping me out. they shipped me a new one and i sent the old one back. the new one has been going non stop for a week now with no issues. it is nice seeing a company who backs their product and quality of customer service.
