Works well most of the time. The slide over feature is pretty easy to use. Two problems. 1) Some of the covers came stuck in the closed position. We had to get a screwdriver and force it open the first time. Then they worked well. 2) This outlet lays on top of the old outlet. It doesnt replace it, so shorter plugs dont actually go all the way through. Some plugs fall out. Others are a little unstable and will loose their connection when bumped.

They look great and keep my baby safe but when I actually want to plug something in (vacuum for example) it falls out of the socket so easily.

The main complaint was that it didnt come with screws that fit so I planned to have some. I opened the package and it had long screws that worked perfectly. The outlet covers are a lifesaver for us. My kids figured out how to take outlet plugs out a long time ago. These are fantastic and look very nice.

These are a good solution for toddlers that are able to remove standard plug covers. They are spring loaded and the child would have to push the spring loaded cover to the side and hold it there to stick an object in the socket. The spring is good and strong all the better to keep small prying hands out. The good feature about these is that when you need to use the socket, you just push the cover to the side with the plug and stick it in. When the plug is pulled out it springs back closed. The drawback is to do a whole house you would need a lot of these and that could get costly. I got 2 packs of 6 and placed them in key spots that the infant frequented. Our baby was able to walk up and pull the plastic protectors that just stick in the socket out at 15 months of age, but these keep her out.

They look good and went on easily. Definitely not easy enough for my little one to open. Fingers crossed there’s no melting like other people experienced

Thought this would be a good option to baby proof the house without loosing a bunch of plug caps or forgetting to plug them in. I found that the outlets need to be loosened up before installing this or when you plug things in it keeps the plug from fully sitting in the outlet since they are deep. I’d recommend for new outlets or for outlets you rarely use, but plan on having to fully remove the outlets, add backing nuts to the outlet mounting screws and then install the faceplate. Not as convenient or easy to mount as I’d hoped. But with a little effort they do work and you don’t have to worry about little fingers in outlets.

My grandson, who is 2-1/2, has not discovered how to plug something into these outlet covers. And, if he pulls a cord out, the outlet automatically closes and prevents him from replugging the cord. I bought a bunch for my own house.

Because these outlets add distance between the plug and the socket it makes the connection very unstable. For example if the plug leans out of the socket even a tiny bit it often completely stops receiving power. Some sockets in our house just don’t work with any plug when these covers are on them. Other sockets don’t line up with these covers so plugs don’t even go into them at all. Wish they made a thinner version that didn’t create so much distance and instability to the actual power source.

This product is horrible, yes it covers the outlet like it should but then you literally cant plug anything into the outlet. It makes the plug so loose that anytime you plug anything in within 2 seconds its popped out and on the floor not charging. Id rather have the annoying old fashion plastic baby outlet covers that are impossible to get off then this because once those are off atleast you have a usable outlet!

Bought these covers to help deter my child from the outlets. Installation was a bit cumbersome as the foam has to be placed just right. I also had to adjust some of the outlet receptacles into the wall, but thats more of an installation issue than the product.
