So nice to find this part for our beloved family wii machine that stopped working. Our grandkids are happy to have it back playing their favorite games.

I ordered the special Y screwdrivers and my teen daughter switched it out in 20-30 minutes. Works great had it about a month and played several times.

When our Wii died during quarantine because of a failed disc drive. This replacement worked perfectly.

This disc drive works excellent. The beat thing about it that it says it doesn’t play Gamecube games and those were the fisrt i tried and it did played at least for me. My original disk drive that came with the wii at some time it couldn’t played all the wii games i have like Xenoblade but with is it was fast. The only thing that bothers is that it makes a lot of noise well obviously depends on the game, like the laser it’s doing a lot of work I just hope it last for a couple a years. The other thing it that I find it a bit expensive IMO. Edit: Since 8 months with this, stills works.

Works great. Replaced both of my Wii disk drives and both work fabulously. Note watch the you tube and follow along for instructions...buy the tri-wing screwdriver set and have a magnetic Phillips head for the last few screws to make your life easier!!

The DVD Drive Replacement Repair Part for Nintendo Wii Game Console works great. Was so glad I was able to get working again. It does take some time taking it apart, but well worth it and did not have to buy another concole.

This item replaced the DVD drive on my old wii. I pulled up instructions on ifixit and went through the process. The included tools are helpful but low in quality. The spludger was pretty much destroyed at the end. Two comments in the instructions are helpful. First, the included tri screw driver needs to be filed down because the point is too sharp to engage the screws on the unit. Secondly use needle nose pliers to disconnect the faceplate, not tweezers because you risk cutting the wires. It took a little longer than I expected but the outcome was great.

The first one I received was dead so i got a free replacement and it worked like a charm.

This product was exactly as described. My Wii console was unable to read disc. I was worried I had to buy a totally new system, but this made it so I didnt have to buy a retired system. Nintendo no longer sells. It was easy to install after watching a YouTube video.

Was able to fix my Wii no problem. The actual process is a bit complicated, lots of screws and stuff, but this drive fit perfectly!
