The laptop is fine. Screen is nice, keyboard feels good. But the fan is LOUD. Ugh.

Very nice laptop..set up was easy with walk thru directions. Nice color and so much better than my 12 year old laptop.

I purchased this laptop in August, 2021, and now less than a year later, its going into the trash heap as soon as I receive the new laptop I ordered. First, the cursor kept disappearing, then the bottom half of the screen would be visibly darker than the rest when streaming, and now after several days of hit and miss, the touchpad doesnt work at all! Thank goodness I had an accessory mouse, or I couldnt even give this review.

I have been impressed with the performance of this little laptop I got for $399. Granted I moved from a HDD to this SDD, which probably accounts for a large percentage of the improved speed I notice, but given the modest price, it has lived up to my expectations and beyond. I will also mention I added 16G Ram to take it to 20G which added a quite a kick, and a second 500G SDD (the drive cady is included in the box), because the one drive on it was only 128G, just not enough for the long haul. There are videos on youtube for A515-46 install procedures, and one of them points out the screwed down board that has to be loosened to install the drive bus, which was the most helpful advice. Ram install is no brainer, but only one slot available, the 4G already there is soldered in. All in all I give it a great rating.
