I quickly needed a new laptop for work when my old one died, and I got this within a few days after ordering. Programs load quickly, and it does everything I need it to do.

2 weeks after normal usage the keys started falling off. I have returned for repairs and still haven’t had it returned. As for the short time I was able to use it , it was a good laptop for what I was using it for, homework, emails and paying bills.

What a cool laptop. Got it today and I set up in about 30 minutes. Very nice. Well done, Acer. I hope it lasts, this is my second Acer. My first notebook lasted years. (10years) This one is really nice. I wanted the Chrome one, but decided on this one and I made the right choice. Yay, me.

This is a great computer once you get past the growing pains of downloading Windows 11 (or not…) and signing in and updating everything. The fingerprint scanner is a nice touch, and the screen itself is great. I would recommend this to a friend

At $300 this was a bargain. Yes I added a hard drive, but have not felt the need to increase RAM. A decent selection of ports, decent screen, adequate keyboard and quick starting. Whats not to like?

I ordered one of these used and was fully prepared for minor difficulties, but when it arrived it was still signed in to the previous owners account. While it ended up being a fairly easy process to reset, Im very disappointed that Acer or Amazon or whoever didnt actually check the computer and reset it before sending it to me. Also, if you intend to return a device that has any personal information, make sure you reset it yourself. Dont count on the seller to do it, they arent the ones at risk.

The S version of windows means your apps need to go thru the Microsoft app gizmo. I cannot open commonplace non Microsoft apps. Buying this laptop was a mistake. I have excellent hearing but the volume is so soft I have to strain to listen to netflix. My last acer was2 ir 3 times louder. The speakers in this laptop are junk.

My subjective review is based on A515-46-R14K model i purchased equipped with Ryzen 3 3350U CPU.

Fast and simple setup, wifi connection strong and fast. Not overloading with shovelware, has a decent variety of utilities and software, most of which looks reasonable for the typical pc user.
