I got this to use as I travel a lot for work to use spreadsheets, check emails and browse websites. It excels at all of that. Its very fast to boot up (like 5 seconds and youre ready to log in and get rolling), its also quick at bringing up websites and loading files. I cant say much about its ability to play games but Im sure it would run older games pretty well. I also recently purchased another stick of ram and an internal SSD to put in it. It was already pretty fast as far as the browser goes but 4gb just felt low and I usually keep a bunch of tabs open in the browser so I figured I should get a bit more and then I figured while I got it open I may as well put another hard drive in it because I can see myself burning through this storage quickly. All in All good laptop at a great price made better by a couple small upgrades you can do yourself (if unsure of how, there are a bunch of videos on youtube that will walk you through it)

The price was right

Not bad for price, however I bought it for lighting keyboard. Unfortunately keyboard goes dark in a very short time. NO BACK PAGE APP TO ADJUST THE AMOUNT OF TIME. No updates on software available to correct problem. I would return it if I could for that reason alone.

Everything about this laptop is perfect for me. I am a college student and actually wrote an essay about how great it is. Great features, fantastic battery life, design is phenomenal. It is just beautiful piece of machinery!!!!

I purchased this laptop in August, 2021, and now less than a year later, its going into the trash heap as soon as I receive the new laptop I ordered. First, the cursor kept disappearing, then the bottom half of the screen would be visibly darker than the rest when streaming, and now after several days of hit and miss, the touchpad doesnt work at all! Thank goodness I had an accessory mouse, or I couldnt even give this review.

I am not a gamer or a photoshopper. Just wanted a simple laptop to do grading and other less involved things. This is a great laptop. In fact, I was so pleased with it, we got a second one for my teen daughter to use for school.

This is a great computer once you get past the growing pains of downloading Windows 11 (or not…) and signing in and updating everything. The fingerprint scanner is a nice touch, and the screen itself is great. I would recommend this to a friend

We have bought 3 of these acer aspire 5s in the last 2 years, replacing very slow hp laptops. The aspire boots up in about 10 aec even afer two years. Our old hps would take about 5 minutes and had too much blos5ware.
