Great computer HOWEVER……..it turns out, according to Acer, it’s “not compatible” with our Canon printer! Therefore, there is NO way to print anything.

Aside from some free cloud space, this is hardly worth more than 10 bucks

This was my first venture into the world of Chrome OS. I never tried it before because we didnt have good enough internet to attempt it. I now have very high speed reliable internet and my experience with Chrome OS has been generally favorable. This Acer Chromebook was a good choice. It is fast, has excellent graphics and ample USB ports including two high speed UCB-C ports. I can run a full size monitor with an adapter. And I was able to connect to my work ethernet with an adapter as well. The 360 works perfectly and it behaves like a tablet when fully folded over. It is light, thin, and has excellent battery life. It goes all day on a full charge with room to spare. Highly recommended.

I bought this to take with me on my trips rather than my heavier, more expensive laptop. Up until today, I was really happy with it. Today, I was testing the ability to connect with this device to the ASUS router at my house so I could upload pictures from my travels directly to my network. The app, AICloud, works fine on my phone and other chromebook devices but, for some reason, my Acer Chromebook wont upload files. It will let me access my USB drive and download files but attempts to upload fail every time. I spent some time with Asus trying to identify the issue but since it works with other devices, they suggested it was an Acer issue, which seems pretty reasonable based on my 20+ years in the IT industry.

We really like this for the size convenience. We utilize this with cloud drives and in the court room to avoid carrying a large laptop . Really wish this was more powerful, can’t handle MS Office (can’t install it) and that is too bad since using the provided softwares aren’t friendly

So first thing, since I know some people will be wondering: this device CAN NOT be flashed to run Windows or Linux, at least at this time. It is not possible. Was one of the main reasons I got it, since I did not know that at the time, but I will make do, ChromeOS is workable nowadays. If you want a Chromebook to flash to Ubuntu or Windows or something, there are websites that break down which can and which cant.

This is well made and the screen seemed very good. The problem I have is that this computer was excruciatingly slow. My phones are much faster! All I was using this for were for photos and for surfing and streaming. I highly recommend. Even if youre going to do this, you need much more than 4 gigabytes of RAM
