Greater than one weekIve owned or used PCs since the late 1980s. Ive been a builder since the early 1990s. USB-C, USB-A, Wifi, Bluetooth, a reasonably up-to-date processor, 8GBs RAM, 128GB flash memory, and a webcam. All those specs are pretty ho-hum. Luckily, its running Chrome OS, which is made to run light, but that doesnt mean this hardware is not well-made. It is. Its a perfectly integrated experience, and Chrome OS does the job just fine; performance is good, wifi connectivity is fast. The battery is excellent. The laptop materials are well made. Its a convertible with a touchscreen that works well with a pen. At this price point, thats saying something, and they throw in a nice case. The display isnt bad, but I do wish it was full HD. If you havent tried a Chromebook, this is a great candidate.

> 3 dayIf youre looking for a good tablet, this isnt it. Its bulkier, heavier, and the screen is more washed out than a Samsung tablet that costs less. If youre looking for a decent chromebook for your student, this is OK but there are better choices, also for less. The keyboard feels too soft and the screen is still washed out.

Process My Return Or I’m Done!
> 3 dayI am heartbroken and furious right now. Shortly after receiving this Acer Chromebook, I inserted a USB drive into the USB port/hub to view my daughters baby photos with her. First of all the USB port is extremely stiff and it takes a bit of pressure to insert a USB disk into it, much more difficult than I am used to. After inserting the flash drive, the Chromebook gave a notification like Woah, be careful or something like that. I thought that this was strange. After closing out and ejecting drive, very similar to Windows but never with these issues, I reinserted the USB drive again to show my daughter more of her baby pictures and to our shock, they were all completely gone. Every file and image was removed as well as our tax returns with Social Security numbers. We are so sad right now as we try to fix this. We have not had any luck so far. My husband just purchased this Acer Chromebook for me less than 2 weeks ago. We always kept our photos and important files on a USB drive and we never ran into problems like this with Microsoft Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10. We would simply close out the window, safely eject the usb drive and reinsert it back into the hub later. In this case, this system never presented me with a startup tutorial or a How To Guide like Microsoft always did so I was never able to backup any files because I didnt know how.

> 3 dayComputer arrived this morning and powered on to a reset screen showing that it had been power washed/ factory reset. Computer then refused to read any of the local networks automatically nor multiple hotspots. Manually entered information for multiple networks and all were out of range even my hotspot that was sitting next to computer and modem router that was a few feet away. Computer will not move past initial screen making it worthless and quite frustrating. Spent an hour plus trying to get it to work. Update: Return shows as approved, but neither Amazon nor I can find the return label that was supposedly issued by the seller: SAVEABIZ. Seller (SAVEBIZ) has now emailed telling me to use the ACER warranty to have computer fixed rather than issue refund for a faulty, used product. Still waiting on return label...

> 3 dayWe really like this for the size convenience. We utilize this with cloud drives and in the court room to avoid carrying a large laptop . Really wish this was more powerful, can’t handle MS Office (can’t install it) and that is too bad since using the provided softwares aren’t friendly

> 3 daySo far I have had no complaints. It was very easy to set up. The battery life is more than adequate. The biggest thing for me was only adjusting to the operating system. Until now, I have only used windows laptops for the last twenty plus years. Before that I had an Apple. Its been easy so far, though I still have difficulties with right-clicking with the trac-pad. I have easily avoided this by using a wireless mouse.
