I bout this display for $104.99 on Prime Day, but am now returning it. I only tested it for a few hours, but that was enough to make me certain that I dont want it. There are two big issues with this display. First, Im not entirely sure why, but my eyes hurt and I start to get a headache after using this screen for about half an hour. When I noticed my eyes starting to hurt, I turned it off for a few, and then when my eyes recovered I attempted to remedy the situation by adjusting the color, contrast, and brightness settings on the display. This unfortunately did not resolve the issue. I also tested the game out with a few games, and noticed considerable flicker behind images that I have never seen before. Ive used a 32-inch 1080p IPS TV and an old 22-inch 1440x900 TN display for the last several years, and never noticed this issue while playing games on either. You can also see minor amounts of flicker on webpages if you watch closely, but the flicker is much less noticeable here. It isnt enough to really bother anyone on web pages I think, but it certainly looked terrible in games. The speakers built into this monitor are also complete garbage. They arent very loud, even with the volume maxed, and you can hear significant distortion and echo while using the speakers. The displays menus are well laid out, the display itself looks nice, and it was easy to put together, but unfortunately these factors cant make up for the low-grade hardware used in the panels construction. ------------------Update--------------------- In response to the comments on this review, I thought I should leave some more detail. My brother purchased two of these display, so I can safely say that the one I received wasnt defective. After examining his, I noticed the same issues, and I could not adjust settings to resolve the issue. He is keeping both of this, however, whereas I returned mine for a full refund. It is possible that this display was just poorly suited for what I used it for. I planned to use the display mostly for work, but also to game on the side. I believe the eye strain actually came from reading text on the screen, and not so much from gaming. For games I tested the following and had these results. Shogun II: Total War = Horrible flickering, worse than I have ever seen before. Rome II: Total War = Moderate flickering Tomb Raider (2012) = No screen flicker/hardly noticeable. Fallout 4 = Moderate flicker Bioshock 2 Remastered = Minor flicker, minor enough to be ignored. I might also have been bothered by the flicker more than some, as the primary display I used before was IPS based and didnt have any flicker. My brother isnt plays different games than I do, and while I could see some flickering on the screen while watching him, it didnt bother him because his old display also had a certain amount of flicker. I probably would have kept it despite the flicker, even though it bothered me, but the eye strain was simply too much after a few hours and I knew it couldnt work for me. Your results may vary.

Ordered for my sons gaming setup. He wanted to go big and at 27 it is pretty huge compared to the 21 he was using previously. This is a nice look monitor with minimal bezel. This monitor worked great out of the box. No dead or floating pixels. This monitor does what it is supposed to do and at this price point it is a solid option.

This monitor was a good deal and for the first 6 months it worked flawlessly, then it would not turn off after it was just turned on, so I unplugged it to turn off then it would not turn back on no matter what I did. So lucky me I purchased the Square Trade insurance, you would think that I got lucky, it was only $5 or so. I then filed a claim on the Square Trade website and was truthful when submitting it, then at the end after submitting the claim, the claim was then closed stating I needed to get with the manufacture because it was under a year. So much for great service. To make a long story short, Acer wanted me to pay to send it in for repair, at my cost, and was not satisfied that I had the original box to ship it in, they said that was not good enough, it had to be wrapped in at least 5 of bubble wrap. So if the original box was good enough to ship it to me when purchased why is it not good enough to send to them? Square Trade stated they would pay for the shipping to Acer but I needed to get an estimate, really! In conclusion, I would not buy this monitor or any high dollar electronics from Amazon and get the insurance. If it was purchased at Best Buy or Walmart I would have been home in a hour or so with a new monitor and never went thru this process. It is not worth all the time I spent on hold and chats (4 Hours) and still have to go get estimate, then chat again, then ship. It is just NOT worth it! Edited since this review gets a lot of hits. We just bought a new replacement monitor locally. And we’ve never bought the useless Square Trade insurance again.

Great monitor for tge price. Was looking for 60hrz, 1080p, 1ms gtg, and vesa monted. Cant go wrong wgen on a buget. Bottom of the monitor has a plastic brushed alluminum look Not too gamer look and fits in any desk setup. Seems like it has a tiny bezel and it does but there is still some space around the bezel with no screen.

    Greater than one week

The monitor itself is very good. Looks good, has a solid base and tilts upwards and downwards. The responsiveness is truly impressive, but the image is not the greatest. Dont get me wrong, its still full HD, but the brightness is not very good. Even then, still think its a quality monitor if you are playing competitive games and even if you arent. Definitely would recommend it to a friend.

Not sure if my video card is the issue or what. Monitor will intermittently blink on/off, the image is really grainy (most present in blacks showing white grains), screen size is super small, cant tell the difference in refresh from my previous monitor, the built in speakers arent even as loud as my cell phone, actually I should rate this experience lower from my perspective! There now 3 stars. With tech though, probably something else causing my images issues. I wouldnt pay 200+ dollars for this again though.

Absolutely amazing monitor for the price! Images are nice and crisp! Not quite as bright as my other monitor, but then again this was 1/3 the price. The viewing angles are limited, but that is to be expected with this type of monitor. Honestly if you dont need the best of the best, this monitor is absolutely the best budget monitor out there as of when I wrote this review. Once I am immersed in my game there is zero difference between this monitor and my top of the line one.

Horrible calibration by the factory make this a monitor for the enthusiast. You will have to spend quite a bit of time tuning this monitor. The good news is once its tuned its amazing. A few tips. Turn OFF Overdrive Turn On RGBcolor Black Boost 0 Super sharpness : Off Gamma 2.2 HDMI Black Level Normal. Then be sure to go into your graphics card setting and turn your monitor resoultion to 1980x1060 and make the refresh rate 75 Mhz. You will then have good color representation and a blindly bright display. The hardest part for me was turning the brightness down to a very low setting as to not feel lile my eyeball were on fire. It takes some getting used to going from a 20’ to 25’, but over all the added desk top space make it wonderful. You could use the blue light filter, but I felt the colors suffer when in this mode. Of course your setting will need to be tweaked to your preferences but hopefully this helps .

It came with a dead pixel and kept blacking out. I returned it and the customer service was great. 6/10

Worked fantastic paired with my RX580 for a few months now it only works over HDMI. I tried multiple displayport outputs from my graphics card as well as multiple displayport cables (including a new one) and it doesnt recognize a signal from that input anymore. I have shipped it out to Acer support (still within its 1 year warranty) for a fix and am awaiting word on its condition/what went wrong. Before it stopped working over DP it was fantastic. 144hz and Freesync had me spoiled and now back on the HDMI is noticeably worse. Will update this review after I receive my fixed monitor from Acer support.
