This monitor was a good deal and for the first 6 months it worked flawlessly, then it would not turn off after it was just turned on, so I unplugged it to turn off then it would not turn back on no matter what I did. So lucky me I purchased the Square Trade insurance, you would think that I got lucky, it was only $5 or so. I then filed a claim on the Square Trade website and was truthful when submitting it, then at the end after submitting the claim, the claim was then closed stating I needed to get with the manufacture because it was under a year. So much for great service. To make a long story short, Acer wanted me to pay to send it in for repair, at my cost, and was not satisfied that I had the original box to ship it in, they said that was not good enough, it had to be wrapped in at least 5 of bubble wrap. So if the original box was good enough to ship it to me when purchased why is it not good enough to send to them? Square Trade stated they would pay for the shipping to Acer but I needed to get an estimate, really! In conclusion, I would not buy this monitor or any high dollar electronics from Amazon and get the insurance. If it was purchased at Best Buy or Walmart I would have been home in a hour or so with a new monitor and never went thru this process. It is not worth all the time I spent on hold and chats (4 Hours) and still have to go get estimate, then chat again, then ship. It is just NOT worth it! Edited since this review gets a lot of hits. We just bought a new replacement monitor locally. And we’ve never bought the useless Square Trade insurance again.

Price is great for this decent monitor. Color is great; gaming is smooth. Only cons are that the audio is horrendous and monitor doesnt play netflix when connecting to a laptop via hdmi.

Love it ! It’s a super nice monitor for the price . I love that it has 2 hdmi ports since I’m using them for console gaming. It has self picture quality adjustment on both the Xbox and ps5 they don’t share the same settings. It also auto detects the hdmi port which makes it super convenient

Great for 1080p 144hz gaming, but the picture quality out of the box requires some tweaking. I was not expecting too much going in from a TN panel, but its worst than expected. This could be due to the fact that I downgraded from a 4k@60 40 HDTV. Dont get me wrong its still an excellent monitor and g-sync works great. Additionally I was able to greatly improve the picture quality using Nvidia Freestyle. Gaming experience on this is night and day over my 4k monitor, high refresh gaming is truly an amazing experience. Refresh Rate Overclocking - It does 165hz with a simple overclock in the Nvidia Control Panel, I have it overclocked to 155hz for my everyday overclock. System(Custom Loop)- 3800X 4.5ghz 1080ti 2101/6100 16gb CL 3600mhz RAM X370 Motherboard

I finally decided to purchase a gaming monitor. I spent about a months time reviewing monitors of different brands and specs, as I was looking for a 144hz / 1ms response time while still below the $350 price range, and this particular monitor was one of my 3 finalist. It is much easier on my eyes than my 4k tv was, and in all honesty I feel like a better gamer playing on it. The ONLY two complaints that i want other potential buyers to be aware of is that there is only 1 HDMI in port, and the stand is non-adjustable. To most the 1 port will not matter, and aftermarket mounts can easily solve the stand issue. I am VERY happy that I chose this as my first monitor!

The stand/base on this thing is really unstable, wobbly. It looks cool but any time my table shakes, the monitor wobbles even after a lot of tightening and double checking. I finally had to gorilla tape it to stay in place. The picture is great. When switching the monitor source the front buttons menus are complicated and it doesnt auto switch how I would expect so i just end up unplugging it and plugging in different monitors to make it work well. kind of a pain. I like Samsung monitors better. You just cycle through the sources with the push of a button on Samsung. You dont have to navigate through three levels of menus to get to the source menu. Samsung and many other monitor bases are not this wobbly/unstable. I wish I had gotten something different but this was highly rated with 144hz frame rate for gaming on a lot of sites. Oh well, its the little things that become a big pain.

Having played on a TV for the longest time I felt it was necessary to buy a monitor as I do enjoy playing console. I bought this as a black friday deal for around $90. It is a 60hz monitor with 1ms response time. Right away I noticed an improvement in my gameplay as the response from my controller to the monitor was significantly faster than if I were playing on a TV. The reason I say this is a monitor for causal gamers is because professionals would not use a monitor like this. They use 144hz monitors and have technologies I can’t even describe. But if you enjoy playing games like COD, BF1 or any shooter on console, I’d highly recommend this monitor.

I ordered two of these and one came pretty decent quality and the other came as the same but a different monitor? One is more, how do i word this, bad quality as one is good, one is more stiff and the monitor feels straight as one the monitor starts skinnier at the bottom and as it goes to the top it gets wider, I would say buy this but I dont know the honest review, I mean again one came pretty alright for the price and one just came complete low quality and not that good.

Monitor arrived in the standard monitor box with no additional outer protection. This was fine as it did appeared to have been handled well. Super simple set up. Its not high end, but for the price, its a good deal. Ive never had issues with Acer monitors, and I dont suspect I will with this unit. Im satisfied.

This monitor is solid, its great at what it meant to do and really shows its power with the 144 Hz and the 1ms response time. I will say that a few times I have turned on the monitor and gotten some weird crazy glitching, I just turn it off and turn it back on and it completely fixes itself. I feel like this is a pretty widespread problem but I dont think I want to wait a month to send and get a new monitor. Im would give it 3.5 for its color/ picture quality which isnt the most amazing thing Ive seen and it isnt easy to find a really good balance in colors and contrast. Also, the speakers are a joke, its like putting an iPod in a glass bottle and putting it behind your desk. BUT if you are your decision to buy a gaming monitor is even REMOTELY influenced by speaker quality you are doing something REALLY wrong. just buy a pair of actual speakers for like 10 bucks and it will be 10x better then what you will find on almost any monitor.
