> 3 dayIve had issues with this machine in terms of performance ever since I got it. Not only was the memory severely underclocked by default, I constantly get performance lag when I alt+tab between a game and a window. What is worse is that it will randomly crash my computer. I will click into a game window and everything freezes then shows red, blue, and green pixels leading to a blue screen crash. After contacting Dell Support the last time, the issue has only gotten worse. Maybe I just got bad parts but I cannot recommend buying this PC.

> 3 dayThe PC is good. Windows 11 Home is crap, and it should come with professional or workstation model. And, the PC keep making the click/switch noise after every few minutes even if youre not working.

Greater than one weekNot enough ram. It only has 16 gigs of ram. Not enough storage. It only has 512 Gts SSD. The only 1TB device is a spinner. The networking adaptor is garbage. It slows down, and drops connection, nearly three times a day. Frustrating when youre trying to use Flight Simulator 2020s photogrametry scenery, and next thing you know, it switches you to offline mode, and you lose all your weather data, and the scenery goes to crummy looking auto-gen that looks nothing like what you were flying over. Sick of it. I now have to look for a network adapter. The graphics card, which I got this machine for, is an Nvidia RTX 3070, which is pretty good. Only wish I ACTUALLY had access to all the ram. Dell have slouched, and slipped back to shared ram, which really holds you back. Youre better off building your own machine, IF you can find the parts.

09-06-2025I’ve had this thing for a few months now. I was skeptical considering I’ve built my own PC’s for the last decade. But I recently moved states and took advantage of the 0 interest 12-month payment plan to make things easier. Currently have it hooked up to a 42” LG C2 4K 120hz G-Sync TV. So far this system has crushed everything I’ve thrown at it without issue. Frame rates are reasonably high for everything being maxed out with Ray Tracing on in 4k. Cyberpunk 2077 runs at an average of 68 FPS Red Dead Redemption 2 is around 75 on average. Resident Evil 4 Remake, maxed, is over 100 FPS. The thing performs solid and hasn’t given me much trouble beyond the Alienware software wanting to slow things down. My one and only gripe is that the liquid cooling system is a single fan. Running a Ryzen 9 5900 for hours with everything maxed puts the temps in the high 80’s C, as expected with this silly mistake. No reason not to run a dual fan to this kind of CPU to truly give the hardware longevity. But overall, for plug-and-play, this thing is crushing it pretty well. If I had the full $2400 lying around, I definitely still would have built my own computer though.

> 3 dayProduct mainly used for simulation gaming in particular MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe. The computer was easy to setup and it is super fast. Price was a little high but it was worth it. I highly recommend this product.

Greater than one weekLove this pc. Only real problem I had was when I plugged pc in, it sounded like a jet engine! I thought I had a bad fan or power supply. Long story short, I had to open it up and discovered a cord was touching graphics card fan. Once I moved it, it was quiet as a church mouse. One other issue is the alienware command center. It was supposed to update all drivers. I Prichard pc in May updated, and noticed the video card driver was from March. How tho?? Otherwise great pc. These issues werent enough to deduct star. Highly recommend

> 3 dayI bought this R14 box NOT because I wanted it for gaming, although it does that VERY well, but primarily because I needed it for post processing of large photo images. A system I built for myself sometime ago died an ugly death and I decided to buy a system rather than build one, especially since parts arent easy to get. Ive used Linux (OpenSuse) rather than MickySoft for years, and tried to install that replacing the Bloze 11 that was on the R14. OpenSuse didnt like the Ethernet card that is in the R14 so I installed Ubuntu with a bunch of add-ons. Ubuntu doesnt like to play with the Ethernet well either however, I was able to add my wireless modem. The R14 is not only very fast on the Net, but EXTREMELY quick in handling large photos, which I keep in the tiff format using The Gimp. My only complaint is that theres no way to control (read that change) the LEDS on/in the R14 as Dell didnt put that in firmware but software and there isnt a Linux app. to do that.

> 3 dayI’m very disappointed in the care of delivery This is a gift and I am embarrassed to give it due to the condition of the package. Everything is in the box and appears to be in good shape, hoping that it is!
