> 24 hourThis is a good product but I had to return it. Make sure you separate the 3m paper from the glue since it is easy to pull the glue right off the light if you are not careful. this messed up my install.

> 24 hourPurchased a roll of these lights to wrap a 4 ft fiberglass pole to make a whip light for my side by side. First roll I got was great... adhesive was strong and held the lights in place while I wrapped the pole. Got to the end and was able to get the heat shrink tubing over it and everything went without any problems. Light whip looks and functions great... nice and bright and I love the black PCB look. HOWEVER... THAT WAS THE EXCEPTION!!! Bought another roll to do another fiberglass pole and before I could wrap 2 feet of the pole I started hearing this faint popping sound. The silicone covering started to crack and peel in several areas. By the time I had 3 feet wrapped the silicone was flaking off... no way I was going to be able to make that work. Peeled it off the pole and sent it back and ordered a replacement. Third roll just arrived and I set to work on making the second light whip. Everything went great. Got the pole wrapped without any issues... same as the first. Then, as I began to work the shrink wrap over the lights and pole I began to hear that faint popping again. By the time I got the shrink wrap over the pole there were no less than 20 pieces of silicone flaking off the light strip. I went ahead and heated the wrap getting some of the silicone to re-seat on the led strip, but several either broke off inside the wrap or would not lay down agains the lights and so there are several bumps and divots all up the pole. Now the casual person will not see them, and you certainly wont know they are there at 50mph running through the desert. But I KNOW THEY ARE THERE, and I know the poor quality of this product. The description states Using flexible copper circuit board, you can gently bend it to an arc. Please NEVER rudely bend it to right or acute angle, otherwise the circuit board and silicone coating will crack. Well, I didnt rudely bend it to 90 or any acute angle... I wrapped to around a fiberglass rod and it cracked. Not happy with the end result... it still works so for now I will use it, but I think when I decide to re-build the light (and I will as I am very particular about my things) I will look at other brands of lights. Its too bad really... they looked like quality lights from their appearance. Oh yeah... one last thing. The picture shows them wound on the roll with the lights facing out, but when you get them, the lights are wound to the inside so the silicone coating is already set OPPOSITE to how you are going to mount the lights, so from the very start you are risking the silicone cracking because it is pre-conditioned to bend up... so no wonder when you flex them down around something they crack.

> 24 hourRe-write of review....like others I have had the same problem with leds detaching, they work well but was hoping I had the answer for the adhesive issue, guess not. :( I will gorilla glue it back on tomorrow. Shipped quick and everything came together. Probably didnt need to order the extra add-ons that were suggested (did not use) but did use about six feet of the plain wire suggested for the short run to the power source. Adhesion seems to be mentioned quite a bit in other comments. I used a alcohol pad but you could use alcohol and a clean rag to clean the surface your adhering to....I had to pull off about 3 feet to fix a gap I left under a little section and it pulled off way to easy but I re-attached and it is holding up fine. It was the perfect size for a golf cart roof with about 18 leftover.....cut it and added my plain wire to power/switch and it works great. Very bright!!!

> 24 hourEverything about these LED lights is good EXCEPT YOU CANNOT CUT AND JOIN STRIPS WITH PRE-FABBED CONNECTORS. I tried several different makes of connectors, none worked. You can cut and solder the strips together and they will work but that is tedious and time consuming. I have done several projects with LED lights and connectors, these are the only ones I have had to solder.

> 24 hourGreat lights. I added them on the outside of the gunnel on my boat. They light up the top of the water very bright at night. These lights have a very good sticky foam tape strip on them but it is not a 3m strip as advertised. 3m tape come with 3m red plastic backing and this does not have. That being said, the tape they use still is very good.

> 24 hourGreat product. Super bright LEDs and easy to install. I didnt like the adhesive tape that comes on these, as it peeled off when just trying to remove the backing, so I used the 3M auto-adhesive tape and it works great. Installed the lights under the gunnels on my bay boat and looks great!

> 24 hourEdit 1, 2/13/20 ; removing backing is extremely difficult, the best method I found was to take a razor blade somwhere middle of a strip, NOT AT AN EDGE!, and try to find a magic spot that will peel up the red liner/backing only , tedious and hit n miss, but succesful so far. if you try this at the end of a strip, it will probably just separate the black stikem pad and ruin the strip, as far as sticking to something goes. My guess is that his run or the entire product selection is from 10 or 15 year old stock, as the sticky substance has leached into the red backing plastic and all has tried to become one. I had to take off two stars , especially since the vendor must know what he has here, I dont see how this could be some suprise to them.. ======= Inititial review: I hope these hold up, will report back later, very impressed. I have a cheap lense that I tried Daylight (DW SMDs) , all I got was kind of pinkish light, mocked these up real quick, and wow!! I can use the DW to light up the motor on my bike, reds will be used on my after market tour pack, took off the original as it is quite a lot of weight, and dont need that much storage..
