> 3 dayWell, Im bummed. I read some of the reviews about these lights and noticed the listing said that, due to complaints, they have upgraded the adhesive to 3M VHB Foam Back Tape instead of the red stuff you see in the images. Well, I ordered three of these for a project to light the interiors of some garage cabinets, got everything installed and working, and the next day opened up the cabinets to find them falling off everywhere. I keep a roll of super-sticky double-sided tape that I used to strategically place better adhesive on top of the products adhesive and now they are holding up. Lights work great otherwise. Just disappointed about the adhesive.

> 3 dayI bought two of these to put one on each side of my pontoon boat. We stuck them to the upper portion of the pontoon and then covered in clear silicon to help waterproof and bond them to the pontoon. So far, they are working great. Do keep in mind though that even though they are LEDs, they pull 60w at 5 amps according to their specs. I had to put mine on their own circuit which worked out well.

> 3 dayThese lights are super bright and they’re a great color. However, they get super hot when left on for a while, and the adhesive on the back pooped out after 3 days. If you buy these lights, buy some aluminum led strip channels to go with them and keep them away from anything highly flammable. Good for $15 but if you’re looking for a premium product, keep looking!

> 3 dayThere is no instructions or directions. There is loose wire and some adapter that I have no idea where or what to plug it into. Sending back.

> 3 dayThis product seems much better in quality and brightness than others that I bought. I cost a little more, but youll be better off. My last strip failed after just one year because water mist corroded the circuit board very easily.

Greater than one weekI installed these lights in 4 foot sections to clean, new aluminum. Just to be sure it was clean, I cleaned it again with rubbing alcohol. As I was installing the fourth strip, the first strip was already starting to fall off!!! It didn’t even last 15 minutes! By the next day, without even turning the lights on, all the strips had at least half of the strip detached. Three had completely fallen off. (I had also purchased a different brand of light with 3M adhesive strips, there was no adhesive problem with those lights.) I’m satisfied with these lights, but I’ll have to remove the adhesive strip and replace them with something that will actually stick! If I hadn’t already done all the setup and soldering, I would just throw them out and start over with a better brand! Update: I peeled the adhesive backing - it came off quite easily. I replaced it with “3M (38583 1/4 x 15 Exterior Attachment Tape” 1/4 inch width (from Amazon). It’s been up for a week with no signs of loosening at all. It took just over one package to do the whole string. Of course this adds about $10 to the cost of the lights, but at least they’re usable now! So, since I have plans to purchase additional strings, now I’m much more cautious about what type of adhesive is used. I will not rely on the “it’s strong” description, I’ll check the pictures looking for the red adhesive strip marked with “3M”. While I’m sure there’s probably other brands that work, I’m not going to waste my time and money to run the experiment. (I’m not receiving anything from 3M lol, I’m just happy I found something reliable!)

> 3 dayDecent brightness, nice color temperature. This one did not come with the 3M sticky backing and as you can see from the photo the black sticky stuff can come off the less while you are pulling the red plastic off. The description or a review said they switched to 3m, but that is not what got sent to me. I got some deep orange as well and that did come with 3m adhesive. Be prepared to use your own adhesive. I will use a little silicone in spots or everywhere if gravity pulls it down.
