21-11-2024So I ordered both the white and blue versions of these and it started burning out. I had them not as well ventilated and the power supply was reading 12.5V so I improved ventilation and reduced voltage to 11.5V (I had a power supply with a pot for minor voltage adjustments). They worked fine for a couple weeks so I went to see if it was just the ventilation and put the power supply back to 12.5V. They started burning out again in the next day. These strips are way too sensitive to voltage with 0.5Volt above normal operating being enough to burn them out. If you run them lower then 12Volts you might be okay, but make sure you check voltage before connecting.

> 3 dayRe-write of review....like others I have had the same problem with leds detaching, they work well but was hoping I had the answer for the adhesive issue, guess not. :( I will gorilla glue it back on tomorrow. Shipped quick and everything came together. Probably didnt need to order the extra add-ons that were suggested (did not use) but did use about six feet of the plain wire suggested for the short run to the power source. Adhesion seems to be mentioned quite a bit in other comments. I used a alcohol pad but you could use alcohol and a clean rag to clean the surface your adhering to....I had to pull off about 3 feet to fix a gap I left under a little section and it pulled off way to easy but I re-attached and it is holding up fine. It was the perfect size for a golf cart roof with about 18 leftover.....cut it and added my plain wire to power/switch and it works great. Very bright!!!

> 3 dayIt is obvious that the specs were calculated. These are plenty bright, great color and at 12.0V input they draw only 3.8amps. This makes them only around 45watts not 60 watts as stated. Im good with that..

> 3 day*Edit* This company took care of our issues. They replaced the rolls quickly so that we could have two rolls of working lights. so thankful for their quick customer service. The new rolls work great! I bought two rolls and both were defective. I have installed led strips in dozens of applications and this is by far the worst product I have used. After cutting to length the strips will not stay lit when using solderless connections. The contact patch doesn’t work and after replacing the connections and even recutting to a new joint there was no improvement. I would recommend you find a more robust product or expect to spend hours of troubleshooting only to scrap the entire project.

> 3 dayI used this for my underhood accent lighting. I just installed, so I will update if anything changes. The double sided tape seemed strong. I used the plug end so I can disconnect if needed and I wired it to a hood pin switch I added so the light comes on when I open my hood. I have the remaining 9-10 I can use for something else with the hard wire ends so Im glad both ends had wiring connections. Day/night pictures attached
