> 3 dayRe-write of review....like others I have had the same problem with leds detaching, they work well but was hoping I had the answer for the adhesive issue, guess not. :( I will gorilla glue it back on tomorrow. Shipped quick and everything came together. Probably didnt need to order the extra add-ons that were suggested (did not use) but did use about six feet of the plain wire suggested for the short run to the power source. Adhesion seems to be mentioned quite a bit in other comments. I used a alcohol pad but you could use alcohol and a clean rag to clean the surface your adhering to....I had to pull off about 3 feet to fix a gap I left under a little section and it pulled off way to easy but I re-attached and it is holding up fine. It was the perfect size for a golf cart roof with about 18 leftover.....cut it and added my plain wire to power/switch and it works great. Very bright!!!

Greater than one weekI bought the blue LED strip that could hook up to a car/boat battery. Very simple. A Pos lead and a Neg lead. I unrolled the strip and hooked them up to a toggle switch in my 16 fishing boat. I stuck the strips up underneath the gunwales. I just finished installing them and they look great. Very use to install and the strips felt very sticky/tacky. I hope that they stick for a long time on aluminum. Great shipping, but Im fearing that they will lose their tackiness and fall out of place. If they last more than a season or two, Ill update this review to a 5 star. In hind sight... I should probably put a fuse on the Pos lead .... but that will be a project for another day.

> 3 dayI have ordered about 6 of these now. I really like them because their black and not white like every other strip on the market. They stick really good as long as you clean the surface with alcohol or something similar. Their bright and great for the money but the only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the leads are shorter then I appreciate and I have had trouble with 1 strip breaking. Im not sure that it was the strips fault.

> 3 dayEdit 1, 2/13/20 ; removing backing is extremely difficult, the best method I found was to take a razor blade somwhere middle of a strip, NOT AT AN EDGE!, and try to find a magic spot that will peel up the red liner/backing only , tedious and hit n miss, but succesful so far. if you try this at the end of a strip, it will probably just separate the black stikem pad and ruin the strip, as far as sticking to something goes. My guess is that his run or the entire product selection is from 10 or 15 year old stock, as the sticky substance has leached into the red backing plastic and all has tried to become one. I had to take off two stars , especially since the vendor must know what he has here, I dont see how this could be some suprise to them.. ======= Inititial review: I hope these hold up, will report back later, very impressed. I have a cheap lense that I tried Daylight (DW SMDs) , all I got was kind of pinkish light, mocked these up real quick, and wow!! I can use the DW to light up the motor on my bike, reds will be used on my after market tour pack, took off the original as it is quite a lot of weight, and dont need that much storage.. > 3 dayIn RVs the overhead bins are high and deep in most cases. I needed to get a flashlight to see in them so I purchased some aluminum track, glued it in place, placed the led tape in this track to help heat dissipation. using a button switch from amazon i now have great light when opening the door. The light is even across and not in my eyes as I placed them away to shine back. Ordered two more rolls and am now busy lighting all cabinets and drawers in my motorhome.

> 3 dayThese lights deliver. They actually have what appears to be genuine 3M tape . They stay in place and they are bright.

> 3 dayWorks as describes. Bright. Mounted under our 5th wheel and wired to the step light. Must wire positive and negative wires correctly to work. Power wires are not reversible like an old bulb set-up.

> 3 dayBe careful. The adhesive backing came off with the protective tape covering if you move too fast and make sure you are ready to place it. Once the adhesive touches the surface, even lightly, the adhesive will pull off from the light strip. Once on and wired, the lights are bright.
