> 3 dayI installed these lights in 4 foot sections to clean, new aluminum. Just to be sure it was clean, I cleaned it again with rubbing alcohol. As I was installing the fourth strip, the first strip was already starting to fall off!!! It didn’t even last 15 minutes! By the next day, without even turning the lights on, all the strips had at least half of the strip detached. Three had completely fallen off. (I had also purchased a different brand of light with 3M adhesive strips, there was no adhesive problem with those lights.) I’m satisfied with these lights, but I’ll have to remove the adhesive strip and replace them with something that will actually stick! If I hadn’t already done all the setup and soldering, I would just throw them out and start over with a better brand! Update: I peeled the adhesive backing - it came off quite easily. I replaced it with “3M (38583 1/4 x 15 Exterior Attachment Tape” 1/4 inch width (from Amazon). It’s been up for a week with no signs of loosening at all. It took just over one package to do the whole string. Of course this adds about $10 to the cost of the lights, but at least they’re usable now! So, since I have plans to purchase additional strings, now I’m much more cautious about what type of adhesive is used. I will not rely on the “it’s strong” description, I’ll check the pictures looking for the red adhesive strip marked with “3M”. While I’m sure there’s probably other brands that work, I’m not going to waste my time and money to run the experiment. (I’m not receiving anything from 3M lol, I’m just happy I found something reliable!)

> 3 dayIn RVs the overhead bins are high and deep in most cases. I needed to get a flashlight to see in them so I purchased some aluminum track, glued it in place, placed the led tape in this track to help heat dissipation. using a button switch from amazon i now have great light when opening the door. The light is even across and not in my eyes as I placed them away to shine back. Ordered two more rolls and am now busy lighting all cabinets and drawers in my motorhome.

> 3 dayI recommend this seller and this product I am using these on my semi! Main hint to other buyers use alcohol to clean area before even trying to use these! Buy a strip connection kit if you plan on using this in sections!

Greater than one weekGreat lights. I added them on the outside of the gunnel on my boat. They light up the top of the water very bright at night. These lights have a very good sticky foam tape strip on them but it is not a 3m strip as advertised. 3m tape come with 3m red plastic backing and this does not have. That being said, the tape they use still is very good.

06-06-2025Great product. Super bright LEDs and easy to install. I didnt like the adhesive tape that comes on these, as it peeled off when just trying to remove the backing, so I used the 3M auto-adhesive tape and it works great. Installed the lights under the gunnels on my bay boat and looks great!

> 3 dayPros: Easy to cut and reattach with separately sold LED strip connectors and wire. Bright lights. Dont get too warm with the proper power adapters. Cons: Adhesive is pretty bad. I have had to use 3Ms double sided tape to hold them up in most areas and that still required quite a bit of that. Overall they get the job done at a cheap price point. If you want to make them Alexa enabled, just get an outlet or powerstrip that is compatible with Alexa.

05-06-2025The other blue LEDs on white tape are less expensive, but the black tape is more elegant if you are going to see it. The LEDs look like a cluster of dots, so it may be less bright. The thicker mounting tape may stick better - as they claim. But I have not tested that, nor the amount of light

> 3 dayI bought the blue LED strip that could hook up to a car/boat battery. Very simple. A Pos lead and a Neg lead. I unrolled the strip and hooked them up to a toggle switch in my 16 fishing boat. I stuck the strips up underneath the gunwales. I just finished installing them and they look great. Very use to install and the strips felt very sticky/tacky. I hope that they stick for a long time on aluminum. Great shipping, but Im fearing that they will lose their tackiness and fall out of place. If they last more than a season or two, Ill update this review to a 5 star. In hind sight... I should probably put a fuse on the Pos lead .... but that will be a project for another day.
