We take just as a cold preventative, but our friends use daily. It does seem to ward of colds for us and/or help recovery a lot quicker. Our friends, twins in their 70s, are amazing physical specimens. Maybe we should take it every day?

I had two out breaks of shingles 3 months apart. My docs said this is not supposed to happen so frequently.... I am on immunosuppressive therapy for autoimmune disease (Lupus). So I started taking this in late 2017 and have no more outbreaks, though I have also gotten the post-shingles vaccination. Nonetheless, Ill take the success of whichever is working as shingles is horrible, with all the pain and discomfort. The tablets are not so large and easy to swallow, but understand everyone has their own tolerance.

I take a lot of supplements and I have for years. I was a bit surprised when I started seeing consistently an undigested tablet in the toilet when using the toilet. This had not happened before. I do take digestive enzymes to help me digest the raw and cooked foods I eat and upon this discovery I came to realize it was this product. The tablets have a benign taste so I started crunching them before swallowing crushing it up a bit hoping this would help the digestion and absorption process, nope, I started passing the crushed pieces. Final analysis this product is very difficult to breakdown in the body. I will look for capsules with powered l-lysine and hope this will solve the problem. Maybe this is not true for everyone, just monitor and if it does happen just return within the window of times. I missed it.

This stuff truly is amazing! Had a major arginine imbalance (too much in diet) that was giving me health issues... two weeks of taking these and no more inflammation and aches. Also, no more depressing, apathetic life outlook, my optimism, joy, and passion for life has returned (emotional wellbeing!) My muscle strength which was rapidly diminishing over the last couple of years is back and I am growing stronger (weightlifting) every day. My facial skin now looks fantastic and I hadnt realized how blotchy it was. Its like I turned back the clock ten years... yes, I changed my diet so I am eating more dairy and less caffeine and sugar (although I wasnt big on sugar before) but Im positive taking this supplement is the reason for my outstanding rapid-fire results.

Let me start this off with every person is different. Im assuming this will work similar with other people as it has with me though. Ok, now to the review. I have gotten cold sores since... well since as far back as I can remember. Im almost 21 years old now and I am very self-conscious about having cold sores. It gives me such bad anxiety and I get panic attacks and blehh... its not good. Frankly, it makes me want to hide away and just never go out ever again. I used to get cold sores every month or so, and sometimes 2+ times a month in the winter. It devastated me. I heard about lysine from my doctor because I couldnt afford to keep up the prescribed stuff and he said that Lysine would be better because its preventative and still helps get rid of them when happen to get a cold sore. I ordered this quite a while ago and started taking 1 pill twice a day. I didnt have any cold sores. At all. When winter first started this year, I went to visit family in california and got sick from them. I was stressing out about a lot of things (the possibility of getting a cold sore was one of the main stressors), so of course, I got a cold sore. I started taking 2 pills 3 times a day. Im sure if it was possible to overdose on this, I would have. The cold sore went through its normal cycle, but a lot quicker. Winter isnt over yet, so Ive been taking 2 pills twice a day and I havent had one again (yet). I really owe so much to L-Lysine. I know this was a long review, but I hope it helps someone. And I really hope that L-Lysine will help you like it has me. You dont even have to buy it from this seller. (I just did because it was cheaper haha) Good luck and Godspeed!!

Ive found that lysine really does help decrease the frequency and severity of cold sore outbreaks. Ive tried several different brands, and this one is one of the easiest to swallow. The pills are big, and there seems to be no way around that no matter what brand you by. But these are coated a little, and the ends are a little tapered, so I can swallow them without fear of choking. I just bought my second bottle and am pleased and recommend them.

I usually got cold sores 2-4 times a year. I started taking a daily lysine pill (1000 mg), and I think it took months to get a baseline going in my body. I got a cold sore in that first year, though it was much smaller and went away much quicker. Since then, 2+ years, I havent had a single one. I just looked at my order history and found out it was that long and so I thought it was important to give my experience in hope that anyone else who has suffered through pretty painful and embarrassing cold sores could find similar relief. I do think it has to be daily, and when I feel a tickle I take another one, and I also have the lysine/lemon organic lip balm. But now, even when the tickle comes, it goes away without a breakout. Also, you have to stay away from beer and, they say, chocolate. Worked for me, hopefully for you too.
