Since starting this vitamin, my cold sore outbreaks have nearly diminshed. I would get a cold sore if I was starting to catch a cold or any sign that my immune system was compromised. I would get a cold sore a few times a year, I have had ONE cold sore since taking this. The cold sore that I did get was much smaller than normal and didnt last nearly as long as they usually do ( usually last 2 weeks or more). I am very pleased with this product.

I bought these in March 2021 and about 3 to 4 weeks ago they started doing this. I keep them in the bottle, dry, indoors, and in a drawer in my room about 72° so have no clue why they started doing this. I never had a problem with the capsules. I ordered the tablets by mistake and they are a bit large and chalky. I still have quite a few left, so going to try to finish them, then go back to capsules.

This is second to none for those who need to take this amino acid supplement--like i do, to prevent viral issues of childhood coming back, like cold sores, Shingles, and other stuff that all of us who got vaccinated for smallpox/chickenpox carry in our system forever. Taking L-Lysin once a day, prevents these painful, unseemly, even life-threatening illness recurring. I have taken this for over 15 years. I only have to deal with the issues when I forget and stop taking the tables. NEVER when I am taking them. Thankfully, they are not chemicals as such but simple protein/amino acids--the building blocks of life! Excellent product with excellent effect.

Must take this to totally avoid canker sores....have so much acid in my system....works beautifully - one pill a day - never have another one - ever!

Covid aside, Ive been taking this for several years and it is a winner. No more colds, etc. Everybodys system is different so it likely would not work for everyone but it was recommended to me and it has been very beneficial to my health.

Even though they are large pills they are very easy to swallow.

I usually got cold sores 2-4 times a year. I started taking a daily lysine pill (1000 mg), and I think it took months to get a baseline going in my body. I got a cold sore in that first year, though it was much smaller and went away much quicker. Since then, 2+ years, I havent had a single one. I just looked at my order history and found out it was that long and so I thought it was important to give my experience in hope that anyone else who has suffered through pretty painful and embarrassing cold sores could find similar relief. I do think it has to be daily, and when I feel a tickle I take another one, and I also have the lysine/lemon organic lip balm. But now, even when the tickle comes, it goes away without a breakout. Also, you have to stay away from beer and, they say, chocolate. Worked for me, hopefully for you too.

These are a good size, but not difficult at least for me to swallow. I take one first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Lysine is a superb immune booster and I rarely get sick, even when surrounded by family members who do.

I find that if I take this daily it helps me stave off shingles. I had shingles 4 times in my life and if I take this daily I don’t develop shingles. Not sure this would work for everybody, but seems to work for me.
