Excellent 12v air compressor. Im so impressed with it that I would never buy a different one, except maybe the twin version. This one has been so useful! I use it to air up tires at the end of a trail, blow dust off of gear, and inflate my air mattress. Ive had mine installed and working for over a year now. Install was a breeze thanks to the unique mounting system. I have mine mounted inside a small hard case that I mounted in the back of my 2005 Frontier. My only complaint was the instructions, which assume youre using it to power ARBs air lockers. The supplied wiring and hardware is great, but I had already installed a relay block and auxiliary fuse box, so I had to figure out how to make the compressor work with my pre-installed wiring. Overall though, the install was very smooth and pretty easy. The design of the compressor is fantastic and feels very solid. I would not ever worry about how long it would last. Performance out of it has been nothing short of outstanding. Its filled up my tires as well as many friends tires at the ends of countless off road adventures and has yet to have an issue. It does get warm but never overheats, even after very prolonged use. I can fill my 285/75R16s from 20 PSI to 42 PSI in about 2 minutes per tire, which is great. It has limited use with a blower nozzle, but thats just because I dont have a tank rigged up to it. For my purposes though, its good enough without the tank. Overall, I cant recommend highly enough. Its become one of my main essentials now.

While the compressor is good to go (5 stars) shipping and quality checks need improvement. I had three units shipped to me before i received one that wasnt broken or missing pieces. The original shipment I received clearly had returned hand written on the box from the previous customer. Im still waiting on my refund nearly three weeks later.

The part was damaged but they were helpful in resolving the issue. We will be using them again.

The overall kit is great. ARB installation instructions are pitifully inadequate but luckily there are online resources that are written or demonstrated clearly. However, the pump itself is a premium item and comes with everything you need for most installations with options for an air line and lockers. The air pump up kit really has only three items of value; the hose and chuck. The other items, the inflator tips, are of suspect quality and poor materials and are not likely to last their first use. So I knocked off one star.

This thing is a lot more powerful than I was expecting (used to lesser portable compressors). I mounted it under the hood of my 4Runner with a Slee off road bracket. Paired it with an air on board oem looking switch and it fit and wired up just fine. Inflated all 4 stock sized tires 265/70/17 pretty fast. Pretty expensive but it seems like a quality piece.

The ARB twin compressor arrived in perfect condition. Read reviews of people getting pumps that had been returned..visible imperfections etc. Mine was perfect. The complaint I have was the driver just left it outside on a dock.Not even close to my business.We have Amazon deliveries all the time. they always bring them to our door. thankfully someone saw it and brought it to us.

I bought through Amazon Warehouse. It arrived as described and complete though the mfg packaging box had lived a hard life. Nonetheless the internal packaging for small parts had not been opened which let me to believe the compressor was not used and returned. It pumped up to pressure with no issues. The wire harness is a bit of spaghetti to sort out but it works just fine after you take time to read the super detailed step by step instructions.

The ARB wiring is a little bit difficult to understand if your not using air lockers. ARB should think about also including a wiring harness for those that dont need air-lockers to get rid of the excess plugs and extra wire not needed.

Its ARB.... What do you expect? Fit great on the engine cover mount in my JL, wired to my RC ML6 switch bank, and extended the hose. Super happy!

This compressor is highly thought of, but I found several issues that I would not expect in a high end product: 1) The housing at the outlet port appears to be made of cast aluminium, and cracked causing a huge air leak. 2) The steel shroud protecting the outlet side of the compressor unnecessarily interferes with the installation of a fitting to the outlet port. 3) The electrical connectors connecting the wire loom to the compressor are difficult to lock. On the positive side, this compressor fits into small spaces, and is pretty easy to install. I am exchanging the compressor for a replacement, and will update this review if necessary after I receive the replacement. UPDATE, FEBRUARY 8, 2018: I have received and installed the replacement compressor. Sexton accepted the faulty compressor back with no hassle whatsoever. Given the good response, I have upgraded my overall rating from 3 to 4 stars, For those thinking about running any sort of air tools from this compressor, you will definitely need an air tank. Dont count on more than a 20% to 40% duty cycle as this compressor cant keep up with any more. This is not a fault, this compressor does everything that it was designed to do. It is fine for inflating tires, air mattresses, etc. I am able to run a pneumatic impact wrench in short bursts to remove lug nuts with the addition of a small (500 ml) air tank. Overall, I would buy this compressor again.
