> 3 dayWe loved the first book so much that in my review of it, I wished for a sequel. Well, my (and my kids’) wish came true! Many other reviews cover the features in detail but the main appeal for both sets is that my kids can learn Chinese more easily without using the ipad/youtube and be distracted by other videos. I love the pinyin, since Mandarin is not my native language. We loved this so much that we even bought another set of both books for a close friend’s preschooler as a birthday gift.

> 3 dayThis book is fantastic. The songs are clear with familiar melodies and for us, this works great. I am Taiwanese and only learned some mandarin in college but with the PinYin, I can pronounce correctly and sing along with my 5yo twins. It’s perfect to train their ears to mandarin!

> 3 dayMy daughters preschool is amazing. The best. It also happens to be a Mandarin immersion program. In the time of COVID my daughter hasnt had as much exposure to learning the language as we would like.... it should be noted that both her parents do not speak Mandarin... This book has been one of my best COVID purchases (and there have been a lot). Heres what I appreciate about the book: - My daughter can easily play all the songs herself, she is 2.5, and has spent up to half an hour BY HERSELF playing the songs over and over again. - The songs sound nice - this isnt cheesy kids music. I enjoy listening to the music too. It also has two volume settings. - All the songs have corresponding copy in Pinyin (so I can phonetically follow the songs), Chinese characters, and English (so I can understand the context of the song and discuss it with my daughter). - The book is sturdy, the pages are thick. It can withstand toddler abuse. When my daughter outgrows it I feel confident that I can pass it to the next child to enjoy it and it will still be in good shape. This book is truly a delight - Ill be purchasing it for her classmates for their upcoming birthdays.

> 3 dayThis is a must have for babies and/or toddlers!! My toddler looooves this book! It’s perfect for long drives, and super easy to use. We love how you can start and stop the songs with the buttons, and you can lower the volume. We have both the first and second volume, and they’re both wonderful!

> 3 dayThis is the second time we bought a Bao Bao book. Our little one LOVES them! The only issue was the plastic musical part on the book didnt have enough glue and fell off. Its okay though, we just play it separately and can glue it on again if desired. This author did a really great job with the music, pictures and song choice for both books. If only there were more great bilingual Chinese/English books to buy on Amazon.
