I was delighted to see this new edition with 6 new songs and bought immediately. My daughter is almost 3, but was gifted Bao Bao when she was 2. She can sing 5 of 6 of the songs, and does so with gusto. When we received this new version, she kept saying I have a new Bao Bao! and immediately began playing the songs. I am trying to raise her bilingual, which is difficult without Mandarin speaking family or school nearby, but Bao Bao has helped more than I could have imagined! Her grandparents are surprised and so happy when they hear her singing songs in Mandarin. The pronunciation is clear, the songs are sung twice, and there is pin yin as well to help me when I dont recognize a character. Dont hesitate!

I bought it as a gift for my friend’s granddaughter but unfortunately, she told me the book’s Damaged when it’s delivered. I felt so embarrassed.

My son loves this book and learned the songs from it in one day. The voice is recorded very nice and I recommend this book.

Our toddler just received the book today, and absolutely loves it!!! The songs are great, and our toddler is already singing along. The book is adorable, and well made. Highly recommend for all kids!

I won this book through a giveaway online. We have many Chinese song books from Taiwan but this one is special. As soon as I played it for my newborn his eyes lit up when I sang him the songs. My older children have also been obsessed with it, singing songs with their grandma over Facetime. I am not a native Mandarin speaker so it was nice to find a book that had English, pingyin, and Chinese characters. We will definitely be buying the first book. Thank you for bringing Chinese back into our home. The best way to learn a language is by songs and this book proves that.

This book and its companion volume are truly outstanding. They are wonderfully produced, the battery life is amazing (WAY better than some of the other song books on the market!), and my daughter comes back to these books again and again, even a year after having bought them. The songs are very well done too. I would recommend these to anyone looking to teach their child Mandarin.

Bought the first book and was impressed with the sturdiness and ease of the picture book with the chinese characters. The second book does not disappoint! My daughter is a bit young to follow along currently but I am excited to sing the songs with her when she is older. The book itself is very sturdy so definitely will last many years.

Our son loves this book. He presses the buttons on his own for the songs he wants to hear. We usually read it with him in the morning, right when he wakes up, which gives us 20 minutes of peaceful cuddling with him before he starts wanting to run around. Favorites so far are the Teapot song and Happy New Year. We are raising him to be bilingual, and these types of books are really helpful to connect him with his culture.
