This thing is just a little too clunky. It took quite awhile to scrape all the paint off it before it would spark. I still like it a lot. Great for emergency pack but not everyday carry.

Great size. As expected quality. This is my first Ferro rod of this size. It should last me a lifetime. This size was recommended by Dave Canterburry (author of Bushcraft 101) for your survival kit.

This baby is huge and will last a lifetime. It throws sparks like a failed North Korean missile launch. If you cant start a fire with this you should just stay out of the woods. Buy it. You wont regret it.
