Very impressed with Flint Steel Fire Starter(1/2 by 6. It is everything as advertised- the stick is thick and easy for getting a spark(s) to start a fire. The product details say it is good for 12,000 strikes, which I believe, we have used it quite a bit and dont see much wear on it yet.
