> 3 dayEasy to use, striker works well. A large shower of sparks is easily created. Love the size and stability of the rod. It is part of my backpacking kit bag (along with knife, Vaseline coated cotton balls, compass, etc.)

> 3 dayLove this one for shear size and ease of use. Will last a long time and easy to attach to belt or belt loop to keep it attached to me when not in use.i highly recommend this rod.

> 3 dayTook a bunch of pics of my load out and dont have one with JUST the ferro rod. This is not something fancy but it does what its ment to do and does it pretty well. I do have to admit though the ferro rod is easy to get a good grip on and the striker works about the best I have personally had for one plus unlike either of my other ones these ppl were smart enough to give ya a long enough piece of cord to make a good strike.

> 3 dayIt’s a big ol massive sick of a ferro rod! My first ferro was a medium hardness and lasted 10 years. My next ferro was hard as a rock and seriously underperformed. Out of frustration I bought this one. Boy am I glad I did. It’s soft so it’s totally effortless. Sparks and blobs of red hot metal fly from this thing. Admittedly you’ll have to buy a new one every 5 years but the overall value is unbeatable. It wouldn’t bother me one bit to buy this item over again. Just fantastic.

> 3 daySo, lets start by saying, I bought this when I got back from a camping trip that my budget ferro lost its wooden cap, and wound up somewhere I do not know. This comes with a striker(bonus, save your knife spine) and a bit of Para cord. 2 7 feet strands that make up the lanyard. I replaced that with a 15 single strand quick deploy braided cord that contained a fire core. Easy to hold, kicks a hot spark. It is a harder rod, but still kicks up good sparks.

> 3 dayIt definitely one of my best buys ever! Measurements are pretty spot on, give or take a millimeter. Works great, Started a fire with it the same day I got it. The cording seems solid and the striker that came with it seems fairly solid. Cant complain at all. Super happy with this product. Might have to grab a 2nd one soon here for my other bag.

> 3 daySeems sturdy as hell. Too heavy for my bag, though. I probably should have gotten a smaller one.
