This came just in time for potty training messes. I don’t know how we survived without it before.

I was skeptical about this product mainly because of the price and having never used a Bissell product in the past, however the difference between mopping and using the crosswave was night and day, lifting up dirt I couldn’t even see in my tile floor. Only feedback is that it does go through a generous amount of cleaning solution, which is not cheap, but a small price to pay for the level of clean you get.

I will preface by saying longevity is my real concern with all vacuums. I had previously owned a steam mop from this brand that broke within 6 months, so if this doesnt hold up long term I will update this review. Overall after testing this a few times, I like this for a deeper cleaning. Once a week or an unexpected mess. I have three cats and no kids, so your needs may vary. I sweep and spray mop pretty much every morning, but my main concern is dust and cat hair which is not the really the best use of this thing. The good-- it definitely picks up some grime my usual daily cleaning leaves behind. Its pretty easy to use, though a bit heavier than my stick vacuum I use everyday. It says it is good for sticky messes and I find that to be true. My whole house is old hardwood, tile, and area rugs. It works well on all these surfaces. I used the steam function on the hardwood to see how it would do, I use Weiman floor polish every month and I was happy to see that the steam function didnt dull that shine. The light on the front is a nice feature, and the machine is pretty quiet compared to other vacuums as well. The cons-- I dont love the proprietary cleaners, they arent cheap and it uses quite a bit. The little sample bottle of cleaning solution they sent only lasted about two cleanings for me. They are fine solutions and smell fresh, I just dont like being limited to these cleaners. They make the self-cleaning feature sound easy but its pretty time consuming to clean this thing as instructed. Its the main thing that keeps me from using this on a daily basis. You have to empty the dirty water, fill the tank with water and use another proprietary cleaner for the cycle, then you run the cycle, empty the dirty water tank again, rinse that, take out the brush roll, take out the filter and wash that, wipe out the cleaning tray, then let it all dry for 24 hours. It says to do all this every single time you use it, its kind of a pain. Cleaning out the dirty water tank is pretty gross, it has a strainer for solids so you dont have to dump all the hair down your drains but its kind of nasty. Pre-vacuuming kind of defeats the purpose of this but emptying a container of dry cat hair is a lot less nasty than a tank of wet hair. The last little annoyance, it doesnt fit in corners or under the edge of counters well. Other than that it does work as it says and I do like it. As long as it holds up better than my last Bissel Ill be happy. I think it would be a very useful thing for someone with messy kids or dogs that create a lot of wet or sticky situations.

Great product for dog owners. This time of year my back yard is very muddy. This has made the clean up for muddy paw prints very easy. I love that this unit has a self cleaning program. No more taking apart the machine to clean the brushes after every use. Great product for floors would not recommend for stairs this product does great on all types of floors.

I love the Self Cleaning on this machine!! My previous Crosswave was amazing and worked so well on my hard floors - I saw this updated model and decided to give my original to my daughters and take the new one and I’M SO GLAD I DID! This model has steam cleaning mode as well as a clean cycle which cleans the roller brush (which we all know is the most disgusting part). Mine came with two small bottles of cleaner/sanitizer and a small bottle of clean cycle solution. For cleaning, you empty and clean out the dirty water tank then reattach. Fill the clean water reservoir with hot water to the mark, the pour a small amount of the cleaning solution into the storage tray. Set the machine in place and press the clean cycle button. The initial sound worried me, but then it kicks in and cleans the brush. Once finished you open the top, remove the brush, and set it into its slot to dry. I’m a little concerned what that cleaning will cost over time when I have to purchase the cleaner, but not touching the nasty brush is a plus. Everything else works mostly like my last machine. It vacuums up most dirt (with a struggle on anything larger like many machines these days), but mopping at the same time is so convenient when you’re busy!! The light is bright and helpful, though the light stays on when the machine is plugged in-not just when it’s on. That’s a little annoying for me, but certainly not an issue. Huge fan of this machine!!

We liked that some of the purchase was donated to animals! Really easy to use and clean.

After using this multi-purpose vac for a month heres my honest review. Pros- The vacuum part works great. It does seem to suck up every dog hair and piece of dirt. After using the dirty tank does always have really gross water & crud. So it does seem like its picking up a lot of goop. Cons- The mopping part isnt great. I just dont feel like it cleans the floors as well a standard mop or steam mop does. It also often leaves streaks and you really have to go slow to get the floors clean. I also hate that it forces you to buy their solution which isnt cheap. I had to buy additional brush rollers because you really cant use one brush for the whole house. You also have to wash brush after each use. Along with washing the brushes you have to wash out the dirty tank every use. Its also not the easiest to carry from room to room. It is very loud which doesnt bother me but I could see that being an issue if you have small kids & want to clean while theyre napping. All in all I just dont feel like this vacuum is worth the hefty price. I dont feel like it saves me any time or is any easier than using my standard vacuum to pick up the dirt and then mopping the floors with a good mop & cleaner of your choice. Also hate that now I have to buy not only the recommended cleaner but the cleaner you have to use to clean the brush rollers.

If your floor is dirty because the idea of breaking out the mop is a back breaking job then your not alone. I know myself I personally slack cleaning floors just because it can be a back breaker. I knew I needed a powered wet mop for a long time, and so enters the BISSELL. Out of the box it was a snap to get it going, of course I saw a few YouTube’s and read the instruction from cover to cover cause I’m a instructions nerd. I was ready to test this flag ship. It claims to clean, add steam for that hard to clean spots that you have to mop over like 1000 times until it is clean. So I assembled, read (as noted), and had the whole house at my disposal. I tested on hardwood, ceramic, porcelain, and laminate. I filled the water canister with required water and chemicals (included), and off I went. To be fair the pictures I included was one of 2 times I emptied the waste water. On all the wood I used the floor mode, using 50% trigger squeeze (drops water/chemicals to roller), and it cleanup up nice. I did not need to keep the trigger down all the time as that would release too much water. I did see a few tough spots, so I changed the mode to STEAM, and did a few passes on that mode and it did come clean. On the porcelain, and laminate, I kept the steamer mode on just to see the results. All in all it picked up all the dirt, cleaned the surface, and dried fast and did not leave film. So far all went well, I used the self clean mode, took apart the pieces, cleaned them out and left out to dry. So what is the bad? The water/chemical did go fairly quick and me only using 50% trigger pulls. Dont get me wrong, it went fine, I could see how I will need to buy the cleaning chemicals more often, and that is fine. When its time to clean, just do it right. Next issue is grout. No you do not need to worry about your grout because it will not touch it. Meaning it is a SURFACE cleaner, not a deep cleaner. My grout had dirt pieces in there after I was done because the roller does not get to it. So my suggestion is, vacuum before you wet mop to clean out the grout, and add to your calendar another day to get on your knees to clean that out. Would I recommend, oh yes, having this I will clean the floors more often, as it did a good job.

I currently have a 16 month old boy and a baby girl due end of March. I got this vacuum as it’s so hard to keep up with daily chores and keep the floors cleaned up and this makes it so much easier! The only cons I have after using this to do my whole house once: -that it is a little heavy and hard to maneuver, but with all the functions I am not complaining. -there is about a 1-2 inch gap from the baseboard where the roller brush does not reach, so a swiffer or something if the sort is needed for edges. -Also I personally had too high of hopes for the hydro steam function, I thought it would work just like a steam mop does but, unless I used it wrong (which I watched the YouTube tutorials) it is not of a powerful steam clean as a steam mop but it makes it so much easier than scrubbing the floors or worrying about wiping something sticky up right away. Overall I am in love so far, and happy with my purchase. I am only rating it at 4 instead of 5 stars as the advertisements were slightly misleading and set my hopes higher than they should have been.

I have had three of these types of wet/dry vacs through years, this one is the best by far. The suction, steam and cleaning power is great. I generally stick with Bissell has I have had nothing but good experiences so far with their products. My husband actually uses it daily, as we have all tile in our home and he loves how quickly it dries and good it cleans.
