> 3 dayGot this for my wife as a present. She was overjoyed. If she hadnt been I would have given it just one star. She used it a handful of times over a period of a couple of years. She liked what she used it for which was mostly moping tile, that is, until it stopped working and it became my problem. Exactly what you can expect of most consumer electronics these days. A quick look indicated that it was not getting water. A slightly deeper look showed that it was not an immediately resolvable issue. Of course, out of warranty; time to break out the screwdriver. Not easy to open but once I got it open (not for the lighthearted) and ran some tests they all pointed to the water pump. Took it apart and tinkered with it. After reassembly it was working. It worked for a few minutes before the pump bound up again. It is now in the gathering-dust-in-the-corner phase of its lifecycle. My recommendation: if you know you are going to be using this frequently you might get your moneys worth. Otherwise, at least in my experience, it would be more cost effective to just buy a mop.

Greater than one weekI have installed new porcelain tile flooring throughout the house. A steam mop using distilled water was recommended by my installer because its perfect to keep the grout clean while sanitizing. He recommended staying away from cleaning products because there will eventually be a build up of residue. This steam mop works very well and is easy to use. I suppose any method of cleaning would be just as easy but the sanitizing and residue factor makes me favor this steam mop.

Greater than one weekEasy to use great steam output!! It got dirt up I didnt know was there!! It got so hot it took off the sealer on my floor it was wrong type anyway just attracted dirt so I was super happy it peeled it off!! The only complaint was that I had to hold button non-stop to keep steam coming my hand got sore but Id buy again way better so far than others Ive bought that have broken. Im glad I chose the name brand over the cheaper ones!! I love that its several products in one!! I can clean ANYTHING!!! But extra mop clothes and I cant find where to buy extra smaller attachment mop cloth parts. Ya gotta hang it its not easy to store unless hung.

> 3 dayI received this today and, as my Shark steamer finally gave up last week , I was eager to clean my floors so I inboxed it and went right to work. To get right to the point, I’m sending this back tomorrow. Here are the immediate problems with it, right off the bat: 1: EVERYTHING is located in the handle; the water, motor, and tool storage are all located in the handle, so it’s extremely heavy to hold. 2: Add to this the MAJOR design flaw that there is literally nowhere to store the cord. You either hold it in your other hand or you trip over it 3: You must continually squeeze the trigger to produce steam, if you let go, the steam shuts off, so now I’m holding this heavy handle while squeezing the trigger AND holding the cord in the other- was there no end user testing done with this thing? 4: Because you must hold the trigger in one hand and the cord in the other, switching hands to ease the weight of the handle is really difficult, and frustrating 5: It has a nice fabric steaming attachment but I can’t see me steaming 84in drapes while holding this heavy handle for long 6: It doesn’t produce the amount of steam I was expecting- my old Shark made twice as much steam and it was half dead

> 3 dayLove it!! But holding the button down to use it non stop is RIDICULOUS!!!!! I dont have arthritis (diagnosed) or carper tunnel (diagnosed) but I can not go more than 4 minutes without my hands, arms and wrists cramping to the point I have to stop because of how much pain I am in from holding down the button consistently just to mop my kitchen!!!!! COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED!!!! The fact they couldnt make it a one touch like pretty much every other machine was very disappointing and frustrating. Back to looking for a new machine and sending this one back. I really thought this machine was the one and it would have been minus the button issue....

> 3 dayLove it. Its really not difficult to use and If you are living in an apartment you will find a great deal of uses for this steamer. Gets into small spaces. Has plenty of utensils for odd jobs. I had to look far and wide for this model it seems they are not making them much anymore. Pity because this is a fabulous product and I highly recommend it.

> 3 dayIf you have arthritis or carpal tunnel, I would not purchase this model, you have to hold the steam button down continuously and it gets really old and its very uncomfortable. I have been shopping for a new one of these for at least a year. I had to leave my old one at the old house as I didnt have room for some things on the moving truck, moving across country... I have been trying to look for the older Shark that I had and have not been able to find it, you plugged it in, and the steam would just produce, no buttons to hold down and it removed all things on my floors, I rarely had to get down to scrape anything up. This one does not do that. Even a coffee drop, takes more energy/water than it should. I never had to fill the water reservoir more than one time when doing my floors with the Shark, now I have to 3 times. Id like to return it, but I was so sure this was going to be the one, just based on the brand! I tossed the box and inserts away, so Im stuck with it. I do not want anyone else to make the same mistake. The Shark steamer I purchased years ago, was a fraction of the price, and worked so much better, unfortunately i was unable to find that one, I suspect its been replaced with a cheap, breakable like everything else these days.
