Briwax Oil-Free Steel Wool 0000

I used this product for burnishing a marquetry picture that I had made. It takes the mirror-like finish of 100 grit paper back to a Matt satin finish which is what I was trying to do. I had to experiment a little before getting the finish but that was probably because Id never used wire wool before.

We use it in guitar building and finishing, this steel wool gives significantly better results than any other brand weve used.

This is the stuff. Expensive, but worth it. Puts the common hardware store stuff to shame......

It works and makes wood shiny with BRIWAX. But if I use this one minute, it becomes small and I need to use new one. I don’t know this is usual for this type of stuff.

Cleaned and refinished kitchen cabinets with this, Murphys oil soap, and tung oil. Very good and reasonably priced 0000 steelwool.

Good stuff, and no industrial smell, like some other brands.

We bought this and the #4 size in a 5lb reel by Homax from Amazon. Super fine this one, very coarse the other. And the price was not so different for vastly different amounts of product! This is a small amount and so quite pricey - specialist size: for fine finishing/ shining of polymer clay or fine woods on things like models and pens.

Best 4/0 steel wool out there. I have used it for years. No oil to mess up your wood before spraying.

Works great

I purchased this to smooth polyurethane between coats. It works great, even thickness of roll that has nice texture. Would recommend, good value for a great product.
