Replaced old HP LaserJet. This is a much better unit. It uses separate toner and drum.

We use this to print several hundred meeting lists each month for our organization. These are legal size printed on both sides with high coverage. We have had absolutely no problems with it.

This has been our go to printer for the office. It prints on both sides, is fast, connects to the network, and generally runs without any problems. Best of all, there are many options online for replacing the toner cartridge. I would highly recommend for any small office environment.

Just terrible print quality with a grey background with streaks and splotches (see photo). Print quality was good at first but deteriorated after one or two months and maybe 200 pages (current page count is 398). I performed the cleaning procedure according to instructions on Brothers web site. The problem reappeared within a few days. Next, I called Brother support where the agent walked me through the same procedure. I asked her what I should do if the same problem appeared again. She told me to buy a new cartridge, and if that didnt help, buy a new drum unit. Great! The problem appeared once again. This time I read Brothers warranty which states consumables (drum unit and cartridge) are covered for 90 days. I contacted a Brother Authorized Service Center about getting it repaired. Turns out that you have to get authorization from Brother before an Authorized Repair Center will work on your printer even though this is not stated in the warranty. When I called Brother again, they wanted me to go through the whole cleaning procedure again. Then to actually get a repair authorization, you have to call back within 7 days with the same problem. Ive never experienced a warranty hassle like this. Ill never buy another Brother product since their support is so horrible.

Nice printer. Using v4Ink for toner saves a lot of money and works well. It has gotten to the point were the most expedient thing to do when you have a printer issue is simply replace it which is how I got this one. So far it is doing well in a tough environment.

Ran into some problems on set-up but great after.

Big drawback to using this printer in a work environment is it cant feed NCR (carbonless) paper from the multipurpose tray. It pulls in 2 or 3 sheets at a time. It will properly feed carbonless from the main tray.

Works great! Brother printers are our go to for desktop models.

WHAAAAT?? Wait! The printer did not arrive with a cord. I had to buy a cord to even get the primer plugged in.

Great workhorse printer. We are using it for high volume printing as a backup to our other printer and it’s worked great. I wouldn’t consider it the backup printer anymore.
