Bucilla Sugar Plum Fairy Christmas Stocking Felt Applique Kit, 85431 18-Inch

Ive made two of the sugar plum fairy stockings. They both turned out so cute. Perfect for little girls! Adorable design, easy to follow directions.

Love the quality and instructions for this stocking. My daughter will love this when she gets older. It does take a good amount of time to make but 100% worth it.

This was the first stocking kit I ever made. My grandmother made these for us, and they were always such a special treat to get out of storage and hang each year. This particular design turned out to be absolutely beautiful. However, I did improvise on some things, as I was new to embroidery. I would not recommend it was an easy stocking- unless you dont get frustrated easily, and are up for a challenge. It was also very time consuming (I have found most are, having done more now!), so start early!! Super beautiful, and Im happy I chose this one. Happy stitching!!

Very cute stocking. I got it for my daughter and its great. There are a lot of little pieces on this one. I wish that it had a place to embroider the name on the stocking rather than making a tag for it. Very cute when finished!

This is my first stocking & I’m almost halfway done with this stocking. I love it!! It’s defiantly time consuming but I enjoy the tedious work. The directions are very easy to understand and follow. I have no experience with embroidery so I have had to use YouTube for some of the stitches. Very easy to learn tho! I work on it very sporadically as I have 4 young children and one is only 2 months old! If you have time at night to work on this while you watch tv you could finish in a month, maybe two.I plan to have this finished for Christmas 2018 for my daughter :)

I took off one star for the fact that the felt is of mediocre quality and there was not enough of some of the embroidery floss. I have a 70 year old family heirloom felt stocking and there is no comparison between the fabrics. I doubt the sugarplum fairy will last to become an heirloom, which is too bad since she is beautiful. The kit is very easy to make, sort of paint- by- numbers with fabric since everything is printed and the locations of each piece on the stocking is marked, even each sequin. Only a few basic embroidery stitches are required so even someone unskilled in needlework can make it.

I love these Bucilla stocking kits. I made one for each of our boys, and Im making two of these for our twin girls this Christmas. They take a lot of time and work, but theyre worth it and I know theyll always be treasured.
