Like that it is light weight and aluminum. It has three different fittings for lots of options for filling and using.Lightwei tohth

The tank is very light and seems to be well constructed, but almost all of the fittings leaked (all but 1 of the 6). I spent more time than I would have liked trying to fix all of the leaks. Not a major issue, but all fittings should be checked before the tank is used. Also, the gage is placed in location where it runs into one side of the tee. Your best bet is to reconfigure the fittings/gage so there is limited interference. Because of the interference, the first tank I received had a smashed gage. The packing of the tank in the box was poor at best. If anything of weight was placed on the top of the box, the gage is likely to break. Was able to send the tank with the smashed gage back with no issue. New tank arrived in a couple of days.

Tank is great.. fittings are bad. At the ranch we pretty much took off all the brass fittings and threw him in the junk drawer. The way you set it up air comes out of your air compressor into the t-fitting and constantly keeps the tank at pressure while giveing extra air capacity in the system. When needed the quick connect allows you to take the tank off and carry it out to fill up a tractor tire or something as its always charged. The problem is the fittings are very cheap and even leaked when the tank was brand new, my husband however says the tank is great the tig welds are beautiful and its super light and will never rust ...were keeping it. Another plus is unlike most portable air tanks it has a water drain off valve.

I thought some of the other reviews about the brass fittings on this tank were an exaggeration, but my tank arrived today- and before I used it once, the T splitter brass fitting snapped and broke in half. All I did was remove a connector to add loc-tight to the threads.. It couldn’t handle the extra torque that a couple layers of thread tape added and broke apart in my hands. However... I drove to a True Value hardware store and replaced all the brass and it was fixed a half hour later, and it was a significant upgrade. I added a second flow control PSI gauge as well- so there’s one stock gauge to measure the air in the tank, and another to measure/control the flow. I highly recommend this. The other reviews are serious- you’re going to have to replace the brass. If you want to postpone this- do not adjust anything. It may leak air, but drip liquid thread sealer into the threads.. don’t turn them. With that out of the way... The tank is great. I actually love it and am still happy with my purchase. It turned my little 1 gallon compressor into a serious piece of useful equipment. With the new fittings it doesn’t leak at all and works beautifully. It’s a shame about the brass.. But I get it. It’s hard to compete when China is pumping this kind of stuff out for near wholesale prices for any US company.

Ultra light, similarly sized steel tanks are too heavy. This tank is super versatile with male and female quick connections. It can easily be added inline to boast tank capacity of portable compressors. Many tanks only have a screwed on hose with an air chuck for filling tires. Tee fitting conflicts with gauge a little for some what unprofessional configuration.

I have an older steel tank that is exactly that a tank! And it weighs as much as a tank. I love this much lighter aluminum air tank. It is made of quality components. So many of these air tanks have the cheapest components that are easily broken or bent. I use my own air hose and chuck as the one included is not very well made. Filling the tank is easy and I have had no leaks.

Pros: light (purchased the AL tank), nice design, nice features (1/4 turn drain, valve to isolate tank from brass, can be filled two ways) Cons: cheap brass, poor assembly Purchased this tank to match the California Air Tool compressor I purchased at the orange hardware store. I give in 3.5 stars because I really like the tank now that it works correctly. If you purchase this tank please be aware that your will need replace all most all the brass on that comes on the tank. It is cheap and clearly the part of the product that was skimped on the reduce costs. Had to replace all the brass in the in photo with higher quality products from the orange hardware store. The isolation valve and hose coupler leaked and the tee fitting split when replacing the leaky parts. Save yourself some time and have all of these on hand. All are 1/4” npt by the way. The tire chuck hose whip came with nipple finger tight only. Additionally it had an excessive amount of Teflon tape on the hose fitting end including tape covering the opening of the fitting. I also found this on the brass on the tank. This is very poor assembly quality that can damage your tools as the Teflon tape does not break down and clogs screens and jams tools. Sad to see California Air Tools put a sticker on the tank that proudly says it was assembled in the USA but has such poor assembly quality. Please leave the sticker off in future.
