> 3 dayHave several cars that have leaky wheels or tires. Bought this because once you fill it, you can quickly top off your tires, without waiting for a small compressor to do its job. In the winter no one wants to wait five minutes to top off one tire. This does it in under 30 seconds. That said I bought a longer coiled air hose, and a squeeze trigger with a built in tire gauge. Hose locks to the tire valve for one-handed operation. Keep in mind you do need access to an air compressor to refill the tank. Handy thing to have and great to put air in tractor tires in the field.

> 3 dayReceived two. Both were broken and did not function properly. Now I’m fighting for service under the supposed 1 year warranty on the second tank because I bought through Amazon instead of direct.

> 3 dayI bought the aluminum version. Its a nice tank, but the fittings are cheap. Why scrimp there?

04-06-2025Initially very impressive. Twice the weight/thickness as my old corroded tank and no pressure loss after two days. Not too expensive.

> 3 dayI bought this to keep on my ATV trailer, because often we will air down the tires depending on trails. This seemed perfect, its light, inflates the tires fast and doesnt make any noise! Ive had this for 6 months now. It doesnt hold air, and it hasnt from the very beginning. At first I thought maybe I wasnt using it right, or hadnt closed the valve tightly. So I went back and re-read the instructions, and it still doesnt hold air. It will only hold air for about 3 hours, before its completely empty.

Greater than one weekCalifornia Air Tools are well made. I have a compressor along with this portable air tank. The portable air tank is quick coupled to the compressor for additional air receiver volume.

> 3 dayI like the tank overall. The only thing that bothered me is that they put on a very cheap hose and tire chuck. I have already replaced the hose and chuck.

> 3 dayOther reviewers mentioned that CAT went cheap on the brass and they werent joking.... The goop they use to seal the threads is also pretty nasty stuff...smells like some sort of epoxy. The compressor I got from them was kind of leaky until I taped and reseated everything, so I didnt even bother filling the tank up before replacing the fittings. I cant say for sure if they are even brass. As you can see the Tee fitting broke apart as I was removing it. The tank itself is very lightweight and feels solid. Im wary about replacing the drain valve and main intake fitting since I dont want to deal with returning the item should anything happen. I dont think the threaded ports that are welded onto the tank are solid aluminum, but what can you expect for about $100? Its still a good value, but I wish they would have not included the extras and maybe just had more solid ports.
