A great addition to my kit! You need a 50mm! This is the one. There are less expensive 50s but you want the quality so I would spend the extra cash... really not that mutch more for the better lens!

This lens is as sharp as a tack and super fast. It also gives nice background blur with portraits and product shots. At $125 it is hard to beat.

I have had my Canon Rebel XT for 14 years and just ordered the new SL3 that came out yesterday. But I wanted a wide aperture portraiture lens to go with it, hence choosing this. The only separate lens I ever bought was a cheaper, Canon telephoto lens that does okay. Other than that, I only ever used the kit lens.

First of all, I am not a professional photographer. I am still in my learning curve. Prime lens was recommend to me and this one has been simply amazing.

Loved getting this set for the same price as the single lens. My daughter had been wanting this lens, and it arrived as described, in great, new condition, and works great.

Love everything that came with this package. But my lens takes blurry photos. I have multiple lenses and have been doing this for awhile, so I know what Im doing. May be something wrong with the lens.

Yesterday my new 50mm 1.8 STM came in the mail. When I ordered it I read a LOT of reviews. Deciding while it is not a HUGE upgrade it was one I though I should really make. The first thing I noticed when opening the box is how much heavier it is! Also so excited about the SILENT motor so no more scratchy grind sounds when my camera is trying to focus. For any future 50 buyers take the extra $5 step and purchase the STM! the silent motor alone is worth it but the build of the STM is wonderful it is going from all plastic and cheap to being more durable with a metal focusing ring! Which is so important. $125 is so cheap for such a beautiful lens.
