Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens

Great lens! Almost L series quality for a bargain price. This is a fantastic every day lens. Really good for portraits as well with fantastic Bokeh.

Canon, like other brands, makes a dang good 50mm light monster f/1.8 or even f/1.4; in my honest opinion the f/1.8 is the better option unless you really need the sliver of extra light at the cost of poorer auto focus performance and super shallow depth. Color reproduction is average as is sharpness, f/1.8 is usable but the lens has better sharpness stopped down to f/2.8-3.5 all the way up to f/9-10. Contrast is below average but usable and overall for a $50-120 lens it performs well especially for portraiture.
